We will be WDW during the first weekend of December and we were wondering whether they will have illuminations? We hope to stay at the swan... can you see them from there?

I'm not sure if you can see them from the Swan but they will be having Illuminations... I believe it starts around 9:30.

Illuminations are run every night. I don't know if you can see them from the Swan but there is a bridge just beyond the Boardwalk and you can see the fireworks from there. But you really need to be in the park to get the total effect. You cannot see the buildings from the bridge.

Yep, Illuminations runs nightly at 9:30 PM that weekend. I will be staying at the Swan again this year for that time of year and I was able to see some of the big fireworks in the sky from the Swan, however as pennylynn said, to get the full effect, you need to be in the park itself. If you can, just walk on down and enter through the International Gateway... it's a beautiful walk at night :) Enjoy your trip!

We will not have tickets for Epcot for that day... is there a good place to see Illuminations from outside of the park?

Thank you everyone!

There is nowhere outside of Epcot where you can see the full show. You must be in the park to see all the fountains, fire, the globe that explodes, laser effect and all the countries around WS lagoon light up with twinkling lights at ceratin points.

If you can make it into Epcot that day. Illuminations is an spectacular show not to be missed!
