I know people without a party ticket need to leave MK by 7 pm. What time to they usually cut the stand by line? I am thinking A&E.....also, I am not suggesting getting in line at 6:59 and being allowed to see them. However, what if I get in line around 6 and by 7 I haven't made it in to see them yet....will they make me leave the line?

If you are in line by 7- you will be allowed to meet/great/ride whatever.

Thanks! I thought they would cut the line, so this is good to know. I was thinking for something like the princesses that usually meet with their princes that they wouldn't want a non party person getting to see the princes (which is a party experience)......thought they might not let you see them without a wrist band even if you had already been in line.

This has not been our experience. This is true of regular nights, but party nights are different. Entering a line at 6pm should be fine, but for A&E, they may cut it depending on the wait. If trying to enter a line at 6:59, they will be directing you to the exit.

Hmmm....can anyone confirm or deny this? I would think if the line was super duper long- like 2 hours- they might not allow it- but I can't imagine them cutting the lines for rides before 6:45ish. Do they?

I think it's too early to tell what they're going to do with A&E, since they weren't around last year.

For the princes/princesses, they would let people in to meet just the princesses right up until 7:00, but by then, most people were getting in line for the party characters and not the princesses alone. Getting the non-party guests through the line didn't cause any additional delays for party guests meeting party characters last year.

I would assume that if A&E meet through the parties, they will cut the line so that everyone who isn't a party guest is funneled through by 7:00, especially if A&E meet together for the party (with a visiting princess and her prince on the other side of the room) or if they have Elsa meet alone and add Kristoff to the Anna side. A&E is such a special case since the lines have been so long, it's hard to speculate on what they're going to do until they start doing it.

It'll be interesting to see if they add A&E to the party meet and greet, and if Kristoff is added, that would be awesome!!!!!

How do the lines work if you have a party ticket? For instance, if I want to line up early at the Fairytale Hall, but for the party characters rather than the regular ones. How do they handle that?

Last year we lined up to meet Rapunzel and Flynn on a party night, and we had tickets to the party. The line for the princesses was closed when we first got there, around 4:30-5. The line opened again, I think around 6:30, but only those with tickets were allowed to enter.

They move the ropes around and set up a queue that wraps around outside only for people who want to see the party characters to wait in, and funnel day guests directly to the inside portion of the queue. Last year, they really didn't let a line start forming for the princes/princesses until just after 6:30...before then, we were shooed away. When they started reconfiguring the outside queue that's when they let people start waiting in line. We lined up for Rapunzel/Flynn around 6:40, and for Cindy/Charming around 6:50 and got into the first groups to meet them both nights. I expect A&E is going to muck all that up this year (though maybe the non A&E line will still be short).

"cutting the line" before the parties start is "normally" dependent on the wait times prior to 7:00 for the attraction.

I haven't read this whole thread, but I just want to say that I just HATE those darn line cutters!

I would imagine that since the parties are a hard-ticketed event, that they'll be cutting off lines based on wait times. A&E are still a super long wait, and if you don't have a ticket to the party that night, it sounds like you might not want to push your luck and wait til later. If they have the capacity to tell you how long it will be to meet them, they have the capacity to say "It's a 3 hour wait from here. The time is now 3:30pm. The princesses will be finished meeting with guests at 6:30, therefore, from this point on, we are sorry that we can let no one else in line.

If this were EMH, that would be a different story, but since it's a party, if you don't have a party ticket, they want you out of that park by the time it starts. So be prepared to possibly see them policing the queues asking if you're a party guest or not. Who knows, if you get in line at the right time, it might even speed up your wait time, if you're not going to the party and they know they have to get your through the line and out the gates!
