Do the WDW resorts still provide complementary Special celebration Balloons/Cards?

Hi:

Back in 2004 the Beach Club delivered an Anniversary Balloon and card from Mickey & Minnie to my parents room during our stay. My parents got a big kick out of this. There was no charge for this service.

This Decemeber we will be at WDW WL with a Grand Gathering and I was hoping to arrange this for them. A couple weeks after we depart will be their 54th Anniversary. I tried calling the Grand Gathering number but they steered me to Walt Disney Florist, which is still a possibility.

Does WDW still provide this complementary service? If so, how would I go about arranging it?

Hi,
This was never a free service. Your parents got some pixie dust on their last stay. You can arrange through the Disney florist, for a fee, for something to be in your parents room when they arrive if you believe that would be a highlight of thier trip.

In a recent stay at Saratoga Springs for my daughters birthday, she received a complimentary birthday card... no balloons or flowers, just a card. It came from the DVC desk. I'm not sure what the other resorts do though. Try calling central reservations. Maybe they would know.

We had an anniversary card delivered to our room at the Poly last week. Signed by Minnie and Mickey. It was free. Our anniversary date was noted on our reservation, plus we ordered a cake which must have been a big tip off.
