Do the street names in your neighborhood have a theme?

Oura are named for trees:
Rosewood , Juniper, Aspen and Hemlock

Not my particular neighborhood, but there is a neighborhood in town that is named after all different trees. As a matter-of-fact, it is referred to as "The Trees" even though that is not the "official" name of the area or subdivision. There is also an area that has "gate" at the end of the street names...Irongate, Cherrygate etc.

Our neighbourhood has at least two themes - many of the streets are "rural" sounding, ending in "Acres" or "Meadows," and things like that - one is called Deerpath. Then there are others with girls' names: Stephanie, Suzanna, etc.

Teresa

I think mine are English, but I'm not sure. Here's some of them:

Kensington, Manchester, Crown Point, Northridge, Windsor

The neighborhood I grew up in had streets in alphabetical order: Alhambra, Buena Vista, Catalina, Delmar, El Monte, Fontana and Granada. The street names stretch all the way across the county here. There's lots of Native American Indian names too-- Pawnee, Mohawk.

The roads in my subdivision are all named after relatives of the person who created the subdivision. (Paul Lane, Claire Drive, etc)

Not an obvious one (at least not to me). Let's see, there's:

Rose Mill
Clays Mill
Sheridan
Stratford
Longview
Spring Ridge
Southview
Mitchell
Southland

Each neighborhood in our town is themed, so it's easy to figure out which part of town someone's in by the name of their street.

I live in the capitol cities of Europe neighborhood, except for two streets which are capitols of Egypt and Ghana. :confused3

There are also neighborhoods with flowers, trees, wine grapes, English cities, colleges, planets, Spanish cities, national parks, girls' names and boys' names--just to name a few.

I kind of like the idea.:)

The town my parents grew up in was a little weird. It was broken into alphabetic sections. My mom lived in the "D" section, where all of the streets had names starting with D, and my dad grew up in the "E" section. Some of the street names get a little crazy. I mean, how many E words are there?

Ours is horses: we live on Steed and the next street down is Stallion. We live near the racetrack.

The neighborhood accross the highway is rabbits: Thumper, Cottontail and Flopsy.

Our streets are named after birds. I live in Kittiwake, there is Redstart, Toucan etc........ Never heard of a Kittiwake until we moved here.

I live on an army base and each neighborhood is named after Battles and locations of battles in War example some housing areas are called Bastogne, Nijmegan,Anzio,Cherburg etc and most of the streets are along that theme as well.

I live in a Mountain track. In the area there are "C" female names "D" female names, San tracks, flower tracts, president tracks and El tracks.

Yup:
Thames, Greenwich, Windsor, Sussex, Highgate, Westminster, Norfolk, Dover, Regent, Surrey.

My subdivision has streets named after national parks.

Ours is wine. The main street through the neighborhood and the name of the subdivision is Preston Vineyards. Then we have Chablis, Cabernet, Beajolais (sp?) and so on.

Our little development has names for waterfowl - i.e. Eider, Grebe, Cormorant, etc. The funniest though is Widgeon. Widgeon Way.:)
