Do the resorts have recreation I need to book in advance?

O.K. this may seem like an odd question, but being a WDW person I am not sure what DL has in regards to recreation, if any.

We are staying at the DL hotel and I rather play it safe and ask if there is any recreationall activites ( o.k. I know there wouldn't be parasailing! LOL) but is there anything at all the the hotels offer in regards to recreation that I would need to book ahead if we decide to take it easy one day?
