Do the offer DVC tours at HHI ?

No we are going in Dec just my sis, my BF and myself. My sister is interested in joining DVc but she wants to make sure it is right for her. She is widowed with no kids but thought it was a good investment since she loves WDW and in the future wants to join us for some WDW with our son (her nephew)

Anyway if she loves DVC and meets with a rep there and say does the tour I don't want her to go through all the crap we had with the discount extention thing blah blah blah.

So first off do they have the whole "tour" thing set up at that resort? I know we will be staying in the 2 br so she will get that first hand but to see the studio and the 1br also a grandvilla would be good for her.

Secondly if we do meet with someone do we have the 3 day thing happen again?

It's been a few years since we visited...but they did have a DVC desk in the lobby. I remember looking through big books with pictures of the resorts, seeing points charts, etc. It was late evening when we were there...and there wasn't a DVC rep there at the time. We spoke to two very nice and knowledgable ladies at check in.

I'd call the resort and inquire. FWIW...we were there in July and asked to see some of the rooms...but they were booked solid.

The HH sales center has been closed for about 2 years and there is no onsite sales presence (none either at VB, BWV, OKW, VWL or BCV). The only place tours and formal sales presentations are offered now is at SSR.

I'm sure the HH staff will be happy to let you see examples of the accommodations (as long as they have unoccupied villas available), but doubt you will find anyone able to discuss a purchase with you while at the resort- unless you are able to make such arrangements in advance.

You might want to call DVC at 1-800-800-9100 and ask if they would be able to offer suggestions about buying on your trip to HH.
