If you have no car and rely on the buses, will they take you to the park if you have an early morning PS? Do you have to arrange this through your hotel or pay extra?

Nope...they do NOT run early...I made a 8:05am PS at MK for Crystal Palace, and they emphasized that I had to have my own transportation....I guess you could catch a cab???? :confused3

I'm sure our resident transportation expert, THE ONE THE ONLY CHIP'NDALE EXPRESS, will be all over this. This question pops up at least once a nonth. Most of the CM's at CRO do tell everyone that there is NO transportation for eaely PS if the park does not have EMH that morning BUT that is WRONG. Disney transportaion is available for all early PS's.

what resort was that? at Pop (and I beleive everywhere else). they start the busses 45 mins before the earliest priority seating... at pop we had a 7:30 am ps at khona, and we got picked up at pop at around 6:45 without even having to tell anyone.

When you book your PS with Dining, they will insist up and down left and right that there are no early buses. THIS IS FALSE. Tell them you will take a taxi.

Buses will start running for the purpose of early breakfasts 45 minutes prior to the earliest seating time. Simply be out at your bus stop 45 minutes prior to your seating time, and make sure you tell the driver where you need to go.

LOL Tyler, you should set up a business - print this info on T-shirts and you'd make a fortune! That would save you from always having to fix the mess the Dining people cause :rotfl: .

Hi Tyler!
This same question comes up probably once a week. You are the ONLY one who knows that the buses DO run early for breakfast. A couple of years ago we were at the Yacht club and the desk told me there would not be a bus for our early ps at the Animal Kingdom. We took a taxi and (as you know) it was a nightmare at the main gate with cars being held up. A CM finally relented and let the cars (and our cab) through. I will NEVER AGAIN ask anyone not wearing purple pants anything about transportation. I really wonder why Disney doesn't give better training in this since it is so crucial.
Anyway, how about somewhere on this main transportation page we put up a banner reading something like....YES THERE ARE EARLY BREAKFAST BUSES NO MATTER WHAT YOU WERE TOLD ON THE PHONE OR BY THE FRONT DESK!!!!

If we do that we can make your life somewhat easier (LOL!)...... :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the ACCURATE information you give on these boards. I would be lost without your advice! :wave2:

The dining CM said to ask the hotel CM to arrange transporation. Will they know?

Or do I just wait for the bus like I normally would?

Just be out at the bus stop 45 minutes prior to your seating time. The bus will automatically show up. :)

It kills me that front desk and dining don't know the proper information. The worst part about it is that I always get worried that since no one knows about it, the buses will run empty, and they'll discontinue the routes due to low ridership. My bet is that if Dining were to change thier ways, there'd be a LOT more people on those buses.

Tyler--I know you don't have the answer but would it be that difficult to program the reservation system so when an early PS is made the information you just posted, be at the bus stop 45 minutes before your PS..., would pop up on the screen? All the CRO would have to do is read it.

Be out there 45 minutes before? Does it only run one time or something? That's really early if someone had a 8AM PS - 7:15AM. Can't you be out 20-30 minutes before? What time intervals do you run the buses for early morning PS?

They run every 20 minutes or so.

As Tyler says, with 45 minutes, you will probably get there early, but if you just missed the bus, you will have a wait.

If you have a PS at CRT (for example) you will have a walk after getting through security and turnstyles.

I've used the DRS system before. It would be a simple change to the notes files, and then send out a simple memo to everyone. The trick is to actually get them to make the change, and then (the hard part) get people to read and understand the change. Don't worry, though. I will get it changed sometime before I retire! lol

Buses run approx every 15 minutes. This is the breakdown:

1st 15 minutes - possible wait time in case you just missed the bus
2nd 15 minutes - drive time to location
3rd 15 minutes - walk time (often forgotten)/Murphy's Law buffer time

Go one step further and have it pop up everytime an early PS is made. Give the complete spiel to be read to the customer.

Actually, the DRS system already does that. At the end of the transaction, a pop up window comes up with the complete spiel. I always felt like a robot when reading it, though.

I'm at CBR where there are like 5 bus stops for each little area... Do the buses go to all these areas automatically or would we have to make sure to let them know?

Is the WL route still going directly to MK or is it back to TTC? Last August we went to the bus area and the CM there directed us to take the boat to the CR to get to MK for an early CRT ressie.

Hey Tyler, what route are you on now, or does it change. I would love to say HI when I am there in June with my family. Your info has been awesome to have. Haven't I read somewhere that you have Chip and Dale on the dash of your bus????

Have a good one.
