We are still debating on whether or not to bring our own, or rent a stroller... do the strollers at the Majic Kingdom recline for sleeping ? It will be used for our 3 yr. old son, and I do want him to be comfy if he falls asleep :)
Thanks for any help out there...

Nope. They do not recline. The seat is made out of a hard molded plastic and the only choice is to sit up. I've seen many a kids in them who have fallen asleep and don't look comfortable at all. It's a good things kids don't get crick's in the neck like us old ppl do! :)

If I HAD to have a stroller at WDW I'd bring my own. (or I've heard you can rent them in Orlando somewhere...maybe someone has info on this)

Luckily, my kids, 6 and 4 do not use a stroller. They walk 95% of the time, and othertimes they get a break from us. This trip it was even less as I had my gallbladder out exactly 1 month before Disney and they were afraid to have me carry them! :) Of course I milked that "don't lift over 10 pounds thing for ALL it was worth!!!" (only because the vaccum is over 10 pounds!)

ohiominnie :p

Buzz1,

Definately bring your own stroller. We took our 1 yr old last August and we took our own stroller that reclines. It was great, when he fell asleep in it I could just recline him and find a nice shady spot to take a rest. Also, we went to dinner at the WL and we were able just to stroll onto the boat and up to the hotel with no problem. We had no problems with any messing with our stroller either. Trust me, it is much more convienient to have your own. Think about exploring your hotel with a toddler, those places are BIG!! It is great to have your own. I know this is a big debate on this board and most people recommend taking your own. Plus it is cheaper, you don't have to pay for rental fees.

Good Luck:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I would definitely recommend bringing your own. If you are staying on property you may want to use it if you walk to the parks or even walk to pick up the bus and through the hotel grounds. Also will come in handy when getting off the bus, monorail or boat to the MK.

The rentals at MK are definitely big and bulky. I'd recommend a lightweight stroller like we have (inexpensive too), a Kolkraft Lil Sport is great. There are a few different types. The reclining one is about $40. It also has cup holders for you and for your child and a nice sized basket. We have the cheaper version that doesn't recline.

You already got your answer as to if they recline, I admit they aren't the most comfy, but my kids seemed to do fine in them. I only used them a couple of the days, we actually took our own stroller but it was such a pain to unload every time we got on a bus... and we weren't smart enough to get a bottom floor room, so we had to haul the stroller up and down 3 flights of stairs each trip!.... so I can see +'s & -'s for both kinds of strollers.
