Do sellers typically list with more than 1 broker?

Is it standard practice for a seller to list their contract with several brokers? I’ve decided to sell one of our contracts, and I’m wondering if it’s in my best interest to do this to increase exposure to more buyers.

I didn't but I also sold my contract fairly quickly as well. If you are with one of the top brokers I would suspect they get all the same people visiting them. Although I could see possibly a small subset of buyers only wanting to use a specific reseller.

Some do, I don’t know if things are different now, but years ago when I checked into it, there was a clause that if they got you a full price offer it was sold,

I was worried I’d end up owing more than one commission. So, I kept it only with one broker.

I suppose it depends on your contract with the Broker. It may be that you have be exclusive for a period of time.

Its all in the detail.....

All I know is that there are a lot of identical contracts on different sites , so I think many people list with different brokers.

Depends on the broker. Be sure you ask before you list.

Thank you for the information ... I am using one of the big brokers so I think I’ll get pretty good exposure with them to start. The contract does not say it’s an exclusive listing, but I will ask them to confirm as well. Hopefully the listing goes live today!
