Do resorts still do things for Birthdays? =0)

I haven't celebrated a birthday at WDW in about 5 years.Back then my DH told them the date of my birthday during our stay.

When we got back to the room that afternoon there were balloons and an autographed picture from Mickey waiting for me...so cool!

Do they still do this?

We were there in Aug 07 for my daughter's 5th b/day and when we returned to our room there were balloons and an autographed picture of Minnie.

Here's an example of what CSR does...

After his nap, we got ready and I sent DH to the bus stop before me so I could decorate the table in our room. I had ordered a cake previously in the week and asked to have it delivered to the room in the evening. When we got back to the room around midnight we found a birthday cake and a birthday greeting from Mickey Mouse along with some balloons (greeting card with balloons was CM from check-in extra special thing )

Cool...balloons and cards are still there...I hoped that little extra Disney magic was still around.

PS....Coronado was where we celebrated my birthday.The previous year we celebrated DH at AKL.He got a card with a picture of Safari Mickey autographed.

The only (or at least one) thing is - given the number of Guests celebrating something on any given day, it should not be expected that Disney will do "something".

I don't think that you can count on it because I expect that sometimes they just get too busy.

However, the one time we mentioned this my son received a balloon and a signed photo of the Mouse of My Dreams.
