Do resorts have rooms set aside for Cruise passengers??

I am hoping to take a Cruise on The Wonder next month, and was wondering if the resorts have rooms set aside for cruise passengers? I know that CBR is closed till December for refurb, and the only two Moderates that the passengers stay in are PoR/FQ, and I'm kind of worried that the resort wil be booked up because of CBR closing. Also, if a said resort is booked solid, and in the off chance I would get an upgrade, does that mean I would get my cabin class upgraded also, or just the hotel?? I hope someone can answer my questions. Oh, and also, out of the two Mods, what is the best for a first timer??

We are doing the 7 night land/sea in May 2003, in doing research I have been told that for the land portion Disney keeps all the cruisers in one building of the hotel. That way its easier to pick up luggage on departure day. I can't help on which hotel is better than the other, never stayed in either. I would imagine if you go an upgrade on your package they would upgrade the whole thing hotel and cruise cabin. Have a great cruise!!

If you are LUCKY to receive an upgrade on your hotel be thankful. Just because your hotel is upgraded, there is absolutely no guarantee that your cabin would be upgraded. Cabin upgrades are few and far between. As far as the unique situation with CBR...I have heard of people having their hotel upgraded but NOT the cruise cabin. There is always hope...dream of pixie dust

If you are looking to cruise soon and you choose a cabin category that corresponds to a moderate resort, that is what you would get. Yes, the CBR is closed now but they have increased capacity for cruisers at the other two resorts to take up the overflow.
