Do people in your "real life" understand your love of the DIS??

I never tell anyone about the DIS, because no one else I know is into message boards. Although I do relay a lot of information I find on the DIS all the time!

My immedaite family (DH and DD) know and acccept my addiction, and reap the benefits of the things I learn, about WDW adn other random topics. They've even met (and enjoyed) some of the DISers I consider friends

My extended family and RL friends......I just don't "go there" much....one sister calls it (egged on by DD ) my "secret internet Disney cult"!!

My children think the Dis is great. My husband understands what a stress reliever it is for a SAHM like myself. He also realizes how much fun we have at WDW because of what I have learned here.

My DS9's former teacher loves Disney too. We cower in the corner of the hallway and whisper back and forth so no one else can hear our conversations. She puts her head in the van while I'm in the pick up line to tell me about her next trip. She says no one understands like I do.

DH and DS know I am on here with some regularity. They don't say much about it. DH has found "evidence" that I have participated in exchanges and I have not been able to look him in the eye and tell him where the packages came from and why. I usually look at my feet, start giggling and tell him that he really does not want to know!

No they dont understand. They do understand I find good deals and info here but the rest of it they dont understand. I consider many here friends and I do tell my family some of the funny things that go, some of the sad things as well but they just look at me like poor woman, she has lost it.

I think my dh is grateful, before the DIS, he would have to be the one to listen to my Disney obssesion. Now I get my disney fix and he is only minmally involved.

Unfortunately, we had already booked everything through a TA so we got ripped off. But I found tons of great info on the DIS and I promise I will do my ratings soon! We had only planned on doing this one trip, but we had so much fun that my DD and I want to go back next year! So I am now looking at Mousesavers and the Budget Board to learn how to do Disney cheaper so we can go again...although my DH is totally spoiled and says he will only go back to the Grand Floridian! Does the GF offer deals too?
