My DH and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary at WDW this July. I was just wondering, do people wear the bride and groom Mickey hats for an anniversary? I'm kind of feeling nostalgiac and would like to feel like I'm on my honeymoon again, but I didn't know if these were only for newlyweds.

I say, wear them! To be together and in love for 10 years is an accomplishment that exceeds "Just Married" status. Congratulations!

Do they embroider those hats as they do the Mickey ears? You could have a big "10" put on them. That might help to avoid you saying over and over again. "No, we're not on our honeymoon, we're celebrating our anniversary." Unless, you don't mind doing that - or whatever.

Don't forget the re-hitchin ceremony at The Land resteraunt too.

I don't think they can embrioder the wedding hats without damanging them, but it'd be really simple to bring some fabric paints and write it on them yourself! I've seen a couple who had "50 Years!" written on their mouse ears.

Thanks guys! I like the idea of putting a "10"on them somewhere. I think it will be pretty obvious that we're not on our honeymoon with our dd8 and ds4 tagging along. By the way, we are doing the re-hitching ceremony. I'm usually really shy, but I'm just so excited to be celebrating 10 years!

The many times I've gone I've always seen people with the hats so have a good time and if you want to wear the hats wear them!

Hmmm we will be there for our 19th anniversary. Only thing is DH hates hats! Me I wear my Minnie ears from the time the plane lands until we leave our hotel for our flight back home!

I asked the same question a couple of months ago and got an overwhelming do it response too. My dh doesn't want to wear them though. (He has a big head anyway so they probably wouldn't fit). He suggested that we make T-shirts with our wedding photo on them. That is what I am going to do. The shirts will have our wedding photo with 12 magical years above it.

I love the idea! Just go to a craft store and get a fabric paint pen and personalize them yourself!

Of course wear the hats. Dw & I did last year for our 29th. It was Memorial Day weekend. We did the re-hitch on Memorial Day [I surprised my DW with it] and during the course of that day we kept on running into other couples also wearing their bride and groom ears. Some were there on honeymoon others were celebrating anniversaries. We made a point to talk with everyone who was wearing them.
