Do people actually EAT fruitcake?

I make my own fruitcake and my dh & I love it, although more him than me. It is really rich so I tend to eat a couple of slices each year.

I LOVE fruitcake. I've never made it, but I have a friend who makes it every year and gives me one. I eat the whole thing (not all at once, of course LOL)
