we are going to wdw june 30 for 6 nights, we have narrowed it down for now to 3 hotels all on-site. But i see so many good reviews of other hotels that are so close as well. What are the chances of us not being let in for parks being to full. I don't want to spend this kind of money & not get to enjoy it. We only get 1 vacation a year do to hubbys work schedule.

I would worry most about July 4, and mostly the Magic Kingdom. There is a good chance that MK would get to capacity on July 4, it happened to my brother on his honeymoon, and on another day in that week also.

Other parks handle crowds better - possibly someone else could comment on that.

i would sugest if you are worried, leave early enough to ensure you get in.

It does happen a few times year that offsite guests are denied entry. Usually though it only lasts a few hours. Also it's usually only the MK- with a rare occcasion at the AK. I can't remember ever hearing of it at Epcot- and not at MGM either.

The biggest plan would be to get there at opening. The hard part is during the summer hours you may want to take a break. On a day like July 4th you're not going to want to chance leaving your park for a break. Pretty much the rest of the time you should be safe though.

I can say I go on and offsite all the time. If we travel during peak times or the very, very hot months- we stay onsite. If we go other times (pretty much when we won't be needing mid-day breaks) we stay offsite.

you are going during a pretty busy season because of July 4.

I will tell you more when I return.

I am going during spring break - in what I hope would be a empty week. It doesn't look like the case from WDW schedule.

WDW got some bad press from during this the last time.

so unless it really is capcaity crowds - I won't expect them to do this again.

plus you don't really want to be there during big crowds.

oh on July 4 - before the fireworks we spend at Epcot. lots of room here the only time it gets crowded is during food/wine in the fall. then when to the MK after the fireworks were over. then the MK was opened until midnight.

both MK and Studios have been closed - the parking lot got full.

If it were too crowed & they had to turn you away, you wouldn't want to be there anyway. That is how I look at it. As others have said, the only day I would worry would be July 4th & the only park would be the MK. I went to the MK on the 4th one year, 1976. They were having the 200th birthday for our country. I would never go again on the 4th. It was way to crowded for me (but that is just my opinion).

they haven't tried since 1999 that I know of since then.

when the parking lot is full then they close it to only WDW guests.

when the park is full they close it to everyone.

Believe me you don't want to be there in either case.

We were there last summer and stayed offsite. We never had a problem and got there at various hours.

I have never been there when the crowds have been at capacity, but I've always stayed on site. Seems to me that it should be ok so long as you're there early. Have fun!
