Do other parks open early on "Gay Day"?

I read in another thread that when they were there the other parks opened early on the MK "Gay Day" Saturday.

I was just wondering if anyone that was there last year if they did the same thing?
We plan on hitting Animal Kingdom on June 5th.

Just wondering if anyone has any insight if other parks open earlier for resort guest on MK's "gay day"?

To my knowledge...it isn't any different than the normal EME hours that they have regularly.

They have done it in years past. I think they extended the hours as well.

We're going to be in Epcot June 5.

They used to, but I'm not sure they still do now that MK is not a Saturday emh day. It used to be, so Gay Day was messing up an emh day crowd-wise. What used to happen (1999, 2000, 2001 were when I witnessed it.) is that you got a letter at your resort the day before that said all the parks would be open early b/c MK was expected to be extremely busy. MK, of course, was also open early since it was already emh day.

As previously posted, in some past years all the other parks opened early, last year 2 of the 3 remaining parks opened early. I don't remember which ones, though. As to whether this will remain true this year, I don't think anyone knows for sure. Just plan your day and if you get a notice in your room of an unexpected early opening, enjoy it.

In 2001 they opened all the parks early. If they do that this year I'd assume that the time would be whatever is the usual EE time for the given park.

We still plan on going to Animal Kingdom that day and be there for the opening. If they happen to open it earlier, that will just be an extra bonus for us!

I was there during Gay Day in 1999 and if my memory is correct, Disney-MGM Studios opened at 7:30 AM for resort guests only. There was a letter left in our room on the Friday before the Gay Day activites at MK. The letter said they were expecting a busy day at the MK on that Saturday so they were opening Disney-MGM early for resort guests.

Right now I am planing on EPCOT for the 5th, but AK might work well that morning (Dinosaur will reopen that day). So if you see a middle aged woman with green ribons all over the place say Hi to me I'll have the Dis Stroller from the budget board's swap and I hear it has plenty of green on it!

We were there two years ago during gay week. Animal Kingdom also opened 1 hour early on that Saturday....we had no previous warning of this...there was a note in our room when we checked in that friday to the Caribbean.
