I am so frustrated I could scream. Back in SEPTEMBER, I ordered the deal through them for Disney Adventures. My credit card was charged and everything. I waited.

And waited...

And waited...

I emailed them when we got back from Florida in January and was told they would get back to me in 5-7 business days. So I waited...

I responded to that asking what the status was and waited... and waited...

A month after the initial complaint, I started ANOTHER complaint, asking them what the heck was going on and telling them how disappointed I was with the service I was getting. (I know, what do I expect, but heck, they have had my money at this point for almost 5 months!) I tell them how they have had my money all this time and I am getting really upset.

I get a response asking me to send them the information regarding the payment, which I do... paypal tracking number, everything... cut and pasted.

And I wait...

Today is almost 2 weeks since I made that complaint and I look at my user tickets and find that the complaints have both been closed. Yet I have had no communication from them regarding what has gone on and what they are doing.

So, I today have started my THIRD user ticket asking for them to please tell me what the heck is going on with their investigation. I am to the point where if I do not get a positive response soon, I do not know what I will do.

So, beware if you consider using them!

Is there anyway that you can dispute the charge on paypal? I know you would have been protected if you used a credit card, not sure about how paypal works though ( I do not trust paypal! lol )

See, that is the thing. It has now been almost 6 months. You cannot dispute it after that long. I don't know if you can dispute it after that long with a credit card either. (Paypal takes the money from my credit card anyway.)

I can totally sympthaize with you. I ordered 2 magazines from them back in September too... I finally some tangable answer in that the orders were declined. Gee... that makes me feel great - you took my money and then never followed thru with a product... My poor sister has been waiting on Country Weekly since her birthday... back in September. I'm glad that we are no longer children, and she can understand. I'd hate to think that there are children out there waiting on their Disney Adventures, that just breaks my heart! Another one to avoid is www.magsforless.com. Same problem - same run around BS. I ordered about 10 magazines from 5 different sites, and thankfully the other 3 sites came thru. Here's hoping they show up in our mailboxes one day!

Refer it to your attorney general.

That is the next step. If they do not give me the answer I want (that they have submitted the order and that I should receive the magazine soon), that is exactly what I will do.

I hate to do it, but this is getting beyond rediculous.

The orders were declined? What does that mean? Did they give you your money back at least? (Of course, they should give us interest, since they have had th emoney for so long!)

I ordered Disney Adventure Mag from them in Sept too and finally got it the end of December. Sorry they didn't come thru for you.

This was the email that I recieved yesterday:

For
#366219, Redbook Magazine:
#356546, Country Weekly Magazine:
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Yes, you are charged for these transactions already, but due to some technical difficulty, the orders are declined. I can replace your orders with no cost to you since you have already paid for these orders. Please advise.

Best Regards
Shelly S.

My first thought was - why would you not just replace the orders?? I mean... I wanted the things in the first place! It's been a huge headache. I guess I'm thinking that if I don't get the magazines... atleast I'm only out like, $7. And I'll chalk it up to lesson learned. :confused3

I ordered the Disney Adventures magazine from Netmagazines in late Nov I believe, and received the first issue the first week in Jan. I was surprised that it actually came after hearing about other people's troubles here on the boards. I think I paid about $7.50 for a 3 year subscription, so we'll see. I hope they can get your order straigtened out soon.

yikes, I recently ordered 2 magazines from www.magazinepricesearch.com and was about to order 2 more, maybe I should wait?

does anyone have any info about this, site good or bad?

think I heard about it here on the disboards.

Yep! At least I am only out $7.50, but at this point I wonder how many people they just try to brush off and hope we will go away. Call me stubborn, but if I do not get my magazine and it is not for what I paid for, I will probably do as suggested and take it to the States Attorney. Not because it is a lot of money, but because it is someone figuring they can get away with such shoddy and shady tactics. I mean, there is not even any way to call these people and they make you jump through hoops to get an email to them.

I had a horrible experience with them ordering TV Guide back in June/July.

I was originally told up to 12 weeks (and they would even look into it until then). I was of course charged back when I placed the order. At 12 weeks and 1 day, I emailed and was told that something happened and it would be an additional 6 weeks.

By now we are in mid-November.....and still no magazine. I inquired again and was told that there was an issue still with my order and that if I wanted they could re-order it for me and I would need to allow up to 12 weeks again. At this point I was furious. I asked for a refund, and never heard back from them. After a week or so, I went to my CC company and asked for a refund or something due to them not delivering the product they promised. They started an investagtion, and within a week I had an email from netmagazines saying they would refund.

To the best of my knowledge, they don't have a # to call so all communication is via email / their website and that just wasn't very effective.

I would avoid at all cost.

I ordered the Disney Adventures back in Sept. '06 as well and have had the same problem. Finally, about 2 weeks ago, I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I received a check for my $7.50 on Monday of this week. (Fingers crossed, that the check doesn't bounce). The check was hand written. Give the BBB a try.

I am giving this one last go and then I will do that too. Really, it is sad. I asked for and paid for a subscription. I should get it. Period. All this back and forth and making us chase THEM is rediculous.

This is the website that I found my deals at. I would just really do a good google search of the company before I'd order. If I had seen some of the reviews for magsforless.com or netmagazines... I would have thought twice! I've ordered (with great outcome) from BestDealMagazines.com (OK! magazine & Frommer's Budget Travel Magazine) & DeltaMagazines.com (Cosmo, Glamour, and Weight Watchers). It just all depends. Good Luck!! :cheer2:

I ordered Disney Adventures back in September also and still haven't received it. I've filed several trouble tickets. They finally responded back to me about six weeks ago and said I should get my magazine within 2-3 weeks. STILL NO MAGAZINE! I am furious!

I too have been given the run-around by this company for 5 months! Is anyone interested getting in on filing a class-action lawsuit for internet fraud?? Is there an attorney who will take this on a contingency?

I had a problem with an order from Netmagazines also. It was a present for my MIL. I finally contacted the BBB, and they ended up giving my MIL an extra year on her subscription. I heard on another board that they have now stopped responding to the BBB, but I don't know for certain if that's true.

In a sad sort of way, it makes me feel better that others have had a bad experience with these people. It really burns me that they can provide such poor service. It is like they could care less. Of course, I get the impression that there is only a few people who work for them... so maybe that is why.

I am trying to decide if I should wait for them to respond to this new round of user ticket complaint, or just contact BBB and see if they can help.
