Do not buy tickets from Undercover Tourist

The price rise caught us off guard, a human error regarding shipping time (it should have stated 15 business days not 10) also contributed.

The website as of right now is still saying 10 days. So what is correct? I ordered my tickets last week so should I be expecting them in 10 days or 15? If it was going to be three weeks to get my tickets I probably would have ordered them directly from disney as that will now put me past the 30 day fastpass plus window.

Understandably, you have a lot of specific questions. I would think it would much easier and faster to call them.

I think that asking if 10 or 15 days is correct isn't question specific to me and an answer that many people would like to know. They came on here saying that 10 days was wrong due to human error yet after their post the website still says 10 days.

This past 2 weeks have not been our usual high standards and for that we are sorry.

We are using Fed Ex to ship the orders this week and expect to have the backlog cleared by this weekend.

The price rise caught us off guard, a human error regarding shipping time (it should have stated 15 business days not 10) also contributed.

Being understaffed (due to a variety of reasons), plus the surprise price rise led to a crunch this week. This is being fixed now and we expect to be back to normal by the end of the week.

Apologies for the concern caused, thank you for your support... now back to packing tickets.

Undercover Tourist

I am curious about the price rise. Was this a UT price increase or did Disney raise prices again?

Just inquired with Undercover Tourist as to the status of my ticket order, as it has been weeks since my purchase. Turns out that they still have not shipped my tickets, nor do they have any intention to do so. This is despite the fact that they immediately charged my credit card for the purchase (well over $1300). They asked when is the latest date I need the tickets. No regard for or acknowledgement that I am well within my FP+ window and I'm losing out on fast passes every day (which was indicated on my ticket order). Nor any acknowledgement that they immediately charged me for tickets that they had no intention of sending before I contacted them regarding the purchase. I've demanded a full refund, but no response yet.
I ordered from them for the first time in late February and at the time I purchased my tickets, it said they would ship in 15 business days. This is pretty much what happened and I received my tickets about 18 business days later (although my credit card was charged immediately). It did seem like a long time, but my trip is still many months away.

I would suggest not waiting until the last minute to order if you need tickets quickly.

I have used UT twice. The first time was great and the 2nd, not so much. This past March I tried to use our 2 day my way (I think that's what it's called), on our second day and the tickets were invalid. We used it at MK day 1 and tried to use them at AK day 2. We were pulled aside (all 7 of us) by the CM who proceeded to tell me that they had never heard of UT and we were trying to use tickets by an unauthorized seller and we were basically SOL. Even though our tickets were clearly marked 2 day passes and guest services could see that we had only used them once they weren't very helpful until I mentioned that perhaps something had gotten mixed up while the CM's were logged into MDE where my tickets were linked while trying to use FP+. At that point we were told "so sorry, here are valid tickets for your group, have a great time at the park!". So, I'm not sure where the screw up with the tickets occurred, with UT or MDE but I know that Disney wasn't recognizing UT as a seller of tickets... I will buy straight from Disney from now on, just in case.
Disney computer info has been glitchy since MDE roll-out. UT was not in any way the fault with your tickets. I have 100% confidence in UT, -- in Disney, not so much.
That is called a "shot gun blast of blame" or blame everybody even remotely involved in the situation... UT is an authorized Disney ticket seller. So somebody at Disney messed up your account, remember it worked once then not again... MDE has done for Disney what the Pinto did for Ford...
My first car was a Pinto. It was also my first Ford. And my last Ford.

My UT tickets are supposed to arrive today. I could start booking FP+ yesterday. I fault myself because (1) in the past 10 days with UT meant 3 or 4and (2) I should have left plenty of cushion if there was a delay. When I emailed them a day or two before the 10 days to see if there would be a delay based on what I read in the thread, they promptly responded they were behind, but would get my tickets right out.

I ordered my ticket from uct 4 weeks ago. Last week on thursday i called and asked about them. She said sorry and would send them right out. I had them on Monday. They linked up on mde so I guess they are good to go?

Thank you for quoting my reply. I can assure you that being threatening, uncooperative, demanding, over-reactive and belligerent is not my nature. But thank you for characterizing me as such. When a company does wrong, it deserves to be pointed out.

I guess I should have been more specific.

I quoted your post in regards to being immediately charged for a purchase and delayed shipping. In my experience, it is not always the case of charges = shipping.

The last paragraph was my contribution to the thread discussion, and was a generalization. I didn't mean to imply that YOU specifically are threatening, uncooperative, demanding, over-reactive and belligerent. It seemed to me by the tone of OP, that may have been how the CS rep perceived the demand for tickets without cooperation (letting them know his/her trip dates etc). My point was, sometimes a little human kindness goes a long way.

Sorry if my miscommunication offended you. That wasn't my intent. :hippie:

Update:

After reading this thread, I decided to email UT on Tuesday about my tickets (my fifteen business day delivery was up on Monday) and they sent an email back later that evening stating they would pull my order and fed ex it to me at no extra cost. It was indeed pulled the next day and sent on it's way. I just received them - exactly what I ordered. Now on to making fp + plans!!! :)

I just got an email that my tickets are on their way. I ordered them on March 15. As a PP said, it was shortly after Disney raised their prices. I was unaware Universal did too.
