I booked Canada Jetlines for my flight home from Orlando on August 25th. I received an email from them on August 11th stating the flight was cancelled. I called to inquire as to what was happening and was told they are not operating the entire month of August!!!!!!

Thankfully I had insurance and was able to rebook for the following day (prices on the 25th were $$$$). Just a heads up for fellow Canadians who might be considering this airline as an option.

So glad you posted. I've been watching them but haven't booked since lynx has me skitish for ultra low cost airlines in Canada. I think I'll stick with driving over the border to fly cheap. Things like this make me miss swoop so much.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. I was looking at prices for March break 2025 and yes they were the cheapest,,,but did not feel good to book
Always trust your instincts...so glad I bought insurance.
wow i'm glad you got your money back. Something is up the CEO just resigned this morning. Have you tried Porter?

Yikes! I didn't see that bit in the news. Thanks for sharing that. I did rebook with Porter.

Same here! When are we ever going to have a reliable low cost Canadian carrier?? Feels like never!

 If they cancelled your flight, did they not immediately offer a refund? Why did you have to make an insurance claim?
