Are you talking about
DAS Advance Selections (DAS-S) that are available as a feature of doing video registration for DAS?
Or DAS Return Times made on the day of your visit to a park?
DAS-S times and attractions are limited and do run out. A limited number of time slots are available for each day for each attraction that can be booked for DAS-S. It doesn’t include any that are Individual
Lightning Lane (paid) or use Virtual Queue/Boarding Groups. When all the ‘slots’ have been assigned, they won’t be available for DAS-S.
DAS Return Times are made on the day of park visit and can’t be booked until the DAS registered guest and everyone you want included in the DAS Return Time have entered the park.
DAS Return Times are based on the current Standby Wait time listed in the My Disney Experience app, minus about 10 minutes. So, if the attraction you want has a posted wait time of 2 hours (120 minutes), the DAS Return Time will be for 1 hour 50 minutes (110 minutes).
Guest can only have one active DAS Return Time at a time; another one can’t be booked until the first one has been used or cancelled. DAS-S are separate and don’t need to be used before DAs Return Times can be made.
DAS Return Times don’t ‘run out’ but are not available to book if:
- attractions is currently closed; Rise of The Resistance frequently shuts down and will not show up in the My Disney Experience app until it reopens
- the currently posted wait time extends past park closing or attraction closing time; park closes at 9pm, you are trying to make a DAS Return Time at 8:30 for an attraction with a posted wait time of 50 minutes
