We have done lunch and dinner here. Our kids - DS (17), DS (8), and DD (6) LOVED it! We did this dinner for the candlelight processional (can't spell tonight) during Thanksgiving week a few years ago and it was GREAT!! We eat here every trip now.
Our kids LOVED it!!!!! They aren't super picky eaters, but I think there are plenty of options if they are...and if anything else, the music and dancing is so much fun for them!!!
When we go back, it is the one ADR that is a "must have" for my DH
We do not have children, but we are long time lovers of the Biergarten.
Everytime we go, the dance floor is always crowded with kids smiling and dancing Personally, I think the food is much more kid-friendly than the Norway Princess meal. There are kid-friendly options, you just need to remember to read all of the choices up on the buffet. Pretzel rolls are a huge hit. They do have regular salad options. There is always hot dogs and sliced sausages and cheeses. There is always a carved meat station. The chicken shnitzel is literally just a breaded chicken patty (no sauce on it, though there is some on the side that you can use if you want). If your kids are the type who get suspicious about the names of things, just don't use the word "shnitzel". You could actually slice the pretzel bread in half and put the chicken shnitzel inside and you will have a fried chicken sandwich. Spaetzel just tastes like buttered noodles. I do recall mac and cheese and baked chicken and plain salmon as well. Desserts are delicious-bavarian cheesecake, chocolate cake, and pudding.
Honestly though, if your kids like dancing and music, they will likely be more interested in the band and the dance floor than the food The band is great with the kids as well.
I'd say give it a shot-it really is a fun dining experience
My 4 year old DD (3 both times we took her there) ranks Biergarten equal to Princess meals at CRT and Akershus as her favorite places to eat in WDW. She is a very picky eater, and she ate more there than I think I have ever seen her eat in one sitting in her life. I don't even remember her eating from the kids section- we found all kinds of things on the regular buffet she would eat. My good friend's 2 year old little boy was the same way. They both love getting out on the dance floor when the band is playing.
I don't know if little kids like the food or not but I think parents must have a hard time getting them off the dance floor long enough to eat anything. So they may not eat any food but they'll have a blast anyway.
