Do kids get dressed up for dinner with Cinderella?

Just wondering if the kids get dressed up for dinner with Cinderella.

We will be having dinner with her at 1900 Park Fare and are thinking of dressing our 2 year old daughter in her princess outfit, but at the same time want to make sure that she is not out of place.

Lots of little girls were dressed up the Norway princess dinner so I'm sure that it would be the same at the GF.

My daughter and I were at the 1900 Park Fare last Septmeber and there were more little girls dressed as a princess than ones who were not dressed as a princess. Several brought long stem roses to give to the Dinsney princesses'.

Our DD spent half our last trip dressed as a princess!

She wore her Cinderella dress the day we went to 1900 Park Fare, her Sleeping Beauty dress the day she went to the Perfectly Princess Tea, and her Minnie Mouse dress one day just because, plus she wore her non-Disney Renaissance princess dress the day we went to MNSSHP.

On this trip, she's getting a makeover and costume at BBB before our dinner at CRT.

I went to the Disney store last week and bought one of their Easter/spring dresses they had on clearance. The one I bought her was a white background with a print similar to toile that had Cinderella, Beauty and Aurora. It had a pink satin sash around the waist and had a picture of Aurora in the center of it. The underskirt peeks out a little and is pink and has white polka dots on it! It is very dressy and I thought it would be perfect for mutiple princess meetings since 3 were on the dress! It is so cute! I also bought a matching headband that was pink satin with little white polka dots and it had a floral bow with the little picture of Aurora in the center (matched the sash on the dress). I though it was a little different than the traditional dresses!

Yup. There were a ton of little girls dressed up at the Princess Dinner I went to last year. Target also sells disney princess dresses if you are looking for a cheaper alternative. Also, not sure when your trip is but if its after Halloween then the disney outlet will clearance the dresses for $10-$15 and last year they had a ton of dresses that would be the right size for your daughter. If nothing else you could stock up for later trips

I know every night is different but , the 2 times we were there for dinner there were not many girls dressed up. The first time maybe about 6 or 7 and the last time only one little girl. At the Castle there was alot at breakfast but when we were there at dinner again maybe 6 or so. It really could have just been the day or time. My girls never said anything or felt out of place not dressed up , so that was good. But the little girls do look so cute all dressed up. Guess it is just a matter of choice. I am going to go and have their hair done this time for breakfast and they are excited about doing that.

I would leave it up to her - even when my children were 2 they had certain pajamas and clothing they preferred! I saw quite a few princesses all over the Magic Kingdom - go for it!

My girls didn't dress up in costumes for our meal at 1900 Park Fare and they were not out of place. In fact, they didn't once ask to wear a costume on the whole trip...probably was due to the fact that it was 95 degrees! They LIVE in their costumes at home, but there we stuck with princess tees and sundresses with crowns and glitter make up

If you happen to have a reservation for when they first open for dinner, get there a little early if she will be in her princess dress. They come out before they open the doors and pick one little girl, usually one who is dressed up to open the restaurant. When we were there the doors opened to find cinderella and the prince standing there and the little girl was escorted to her table by cinderella herself. Very cute.

This happened to my little cousins. However, they were not dressed up. Just tees and shorts. It was a magical experience for them.

We have reservations in Sept at the GF princess dinner. My daughter will be wearing a cute pink seersucker capri outfit with Cinderella appliqued on the front. Although she likes to dress up at home, her gown goes all the way to the floor and to me looks itchy and uncomfortable. I want her to be able to enjoy dinner and going to the MK afterwards!

When I was at WDW over Easter, I would say that the park and the restaurants were "overrun" with little girls dressed in princess costumes. Especially at Park Fare--more were dressed in costume than not.

My DGD (4) now, was dressed up in her Cinderella dress for 1900 Park Fare. We went to BBB first and had her hair done and then took a taxi to the dinner. All the characters spent a lot of time with her. A lot of the girls were dressed up. We're going to PSB for the breakfast and she wants to get dressed up again.
