Do infants really sleep in a stroller at MK?

Mine did not, but I've seen others do it. When I went with an 11 month old, he took his nap much later - at dinner time the first day and a little earlier on days after that. He wouldnt nap in the stroller though - he slept in a sling. We just went with it. It worked out fine as he wasn't a screamy type baby. The only trip with a baby who napped enough was with a 2 month old - and she fell asleep in the sling, but at 8 months, she was over that. It doesn't matter how worn out some kids are - some will stay awake, even good sleepers. Others fall asleep easily. I should also add that none of my kids were the fall asleep in the car type kids either so I wonder if that makes a difference.

I have been about 8 times since my almost 10 year old was born, and about 5 since my now 7 year old was born, and once since my 2 year old was born.

All three of them slept in a stroller, but we always had a stroller with a seat that could be adjusted to lie almost flat, and with a generous cover that folded up/down over the child. In the warmer times of year we had a battery powered clip-on fan to keep them cool.

They always napped which allowed us to avoid having to go back to the hotel in the middle of the day for break.

It really depends on the kid. DD1 was a better sleeper overall, but also amazing at fighting sleep. DD2, otoh, is better at going down for naps and bed but not as good at staying asleep. So when DD1 was our only child, we went back to the hotel religiously for midday nap and break. And she would take a good long nap. Last two trips, we'd still do the midday break but DD2, who was 3-4 months at the time, napped through fireworks and several dinners with her baby banz ear protection in the carrier, and also napped in the stroller quite a bit. It gave us a lot more flexibility around dinner time, but we didn't know it would work until we actually tried it.

We went with my 15 month old niece last time we visited MK and she napped HARD in her stroller. I think it's all so exciting that as long as you can find a quieter place to hang out, their exhaustion just really takes over!

I'm jealous...my kids NEVER fell asleep in strollers until this last trip on the very last day (day 14!)- at ages 2 and 5!

Taking a 10 month old to MK for about 5 hours/day (morning). Normally, nap time would be around 9am. Do they really sleep through all the noise and commotion? Or do they just get tired/cranky/cry? Generally a very cheerful baby. Interested what your experiences are.

Mine did. Of course we never tried to keep the house completely quiet and dark when the kids were sleeping at home, so they were used to sleeping with noise around them. My Mom told me to not stop living our life while baby napped, or we'd be tiptoeing around the house for the rest of our lives, and I think that was good advice.

I agree it depends on the kid. Our DS could sleep through anything. He started going to the parks at 3 weeks old. When he was tired he just fell asleep not matter where we were or what was going on. Our DD is a completely different story. If there is anything going on around her, in public or at home, she won't go to sleep. Last weekend DH's relatives stayed with us during the hurricane and just those extra people in the house affected her sleep.

DD has slept in her stroller at Disney at 8 months old, 15 months old and 3 years old...but she's always been a good stroller napper wherever we are. Some kids are, some aren't :)

We took our son at 6 months old and again at a year. He slept in his stroller just fine each time. We went in March and September. September was quite hot so we had a battery powered fan that we clipped on his stroller to keep him cool.

I believe that has a lot to do with it. I feel bad when I read posts of parents say that they have to keep the room dark and quiet for their kids to sleep. For both our DDs, we always had music or nature noise playing whenever we put them down for naps as well as at night and did not make the room dark.
We have been going since our 1st DD was 6 month and actually tried going back to the room for naps the first few days. What a waste of time and effort, made everyone grouchy. So the next day we stayed at the park and sure enough she fell asleep and slept good:) We use this time to sit and have a snack, or one of us will go shopping or maybe even do a ride or 2 or just stroll around. At night when we are back in out room, we have no issues watching TV or talking with each other while both our DDs sleep, so we do not need to get a suite or villas, even if we could afford it:rotfl2:.

My dd did when she was 4 and 7. We went in November 2013 (DL) and 2015 (WDW) and it was unseasonably hot both times. The heat just zapped us especially coming from home where there was FROST when we left. DD can sleep anywhere. She has been know to fall asleep at hockey games if they run late.
those are noisy!
