I made it hoping I could get pair it with Fantasmic tickets, but those are sold out. Since we will have to wait in line for Fantasmic like everyone else, it seems like H&V isn't really worth keeping.

It is a dinner reservation, not lunch. Is there something more interesting at HS we should look for (that isn't two sit down credits)? Otherwise, we can do something else - maybe try for breakfast at Ohana's or GF?

Have you tried 50's PrimeTime? You have to have a good sense of humor!! We absolutely love it. The pot roast and the fried chicken are our favs! It is a lot of fun if you can handle the "humor". My father-in-law was not thrilled about getting picked on but liked the food well enough to go back with us everytime. lol

We didn't care for H&V, it was very crowded, the food was below average, and the service was pretty non-existent. We are trying Sci-Fi this trip, I've read lots of good reviews about the atmosphere being fun (tables are little cars like at a drive in movie and they show old movies on a screen).

Good Luck!

I booked H & V with Fantasmic show. I read so many bad reviews that included food quality, service and cleanliness I switched to Brown Derby. Read some reviews, it appeared from these boards that the reviews were overwhelmingly bad reviews.

H&V is okay, but if you want more of an experience, I would recommend either 50s Prime Time or Sci-Fi Dine-In. Both have good food and excellent atmosphere.

I would not keep H & V. You could also just take the boat to Epcot and eat there and then go back for Fantasmik. I never end up eating @ HS. Nothing really appeals to me there.

I swapped it for breakfast at GF. We will just eat counter service at HS.

Thanks!

Hollywood & Vine's food was better than Chef Mickey's. It's a basic buffet & we all were satisfied. Even though the food was fine, I don't think I'd eat there just for the food. I would probably just eat QS at Hollywood Studios & save a TS credit for another day.

I was disappointed that we wouldn't be able to eat at 50's prime time but the part of that restaurant I could see from the restroom area really didn't look interesting at all to me. I can't comment on the food there.

I would try for sic fi or 50s prime time for sure. H and V was one of our worst dining experiences.

I would cancel the H&V too. We always try to do a bigger QS meal there, and then leave the park to do a nice resort TS. There choices just aren't our favorite!
Good luck!

HS really needs to step it up on TS. Other than the very pricey Brown Derby everywhere is barely decent. I ate at Prime Time years ago and wasn't overly impressed. (Perhaps they've gotten better since. We're trying it this next time around.) We ate at Sci-Fi in January and HATED it. The food ranged from foul to "eh" and the setting and "movie" became very boring about midway through the meal- especially when the scenes started over so we were seeing the same clips again.... The waiter was really nice though and the milkshake was very yummy. It seems like a day at HS is best suited for QS or resort meals!
