We are paying $75.00 for delivery, but I wasn't sure if we should tip the guys on top of that. DH says no since they are dropping off and not setting up (as we have tipped when we had washer and dryer set up).
But I wasn't so sure. I figured we should give them something. Please give me your opinion and what you usually do. Thanks

Well, considering it will come on a flatbed truck, it will be curbside delivery, and they will use a machine to drop it, I say no. But I am sure someone will argue with me and say that yes you should.
If you really feel like you should, $5 for a soda and snack at Wawa should be sufficient.

Thanks, that was what my dh was thinking also that since there wasn't much required on their part that it wasn't nessasary.
Just wanted to make sure he wasn't alone in his thinking. In this case, I would rather HE be right and ME be wrong (lol).

I don't believe it is necessary ... in fact, I bet these guys wouldn't know what to do if someone offered them a tip!!

Tip the pizza guy, but not the Home Depot guy.

I've never had anything delivered -- but we tried to tip the young man helping us load a Christmas tree into our pickup one year and he refused to take it, saying they were not allowed to accept tips. :confused3 .

I have a salon and live off my tips. With that said I like the idea of blessing someone with a small tip. I like the idea of given a small amount to say thank you and the hope to give someone a better day. It makes me happy too! :goodvibes

To me, if they guys show up, drop the stuff and leave, no tip. However, if the guys show up, ask where you want stuff, go out of there way to make sure everything is just right, etc. then a small tip is deserved. (If DW were posting, she would point out that tips are called for in any case if the guys are cute.)

Nope don’t tip them...figure i paid for delivery.....if i had to tip the furniture guy then i'd have to tip the FedEx guy as well...and that’s to much in my opinion….
i do tip the pizza or any fast food guys...and even my movers but they where with us for a full day
