Do I really get a do-over?

Got caught up!!! Glad you got 'Ohana! Looks like your reveal went well! So cute!!!

We aren't doing Disney next year, if it helps. I figured we could use a break. We are doing a vacay in WA state.

I'm glad the reveal went so well. So many people keep it a secret, but I never could. I think I would explode trying to keep it in

You can never go to Disney too often. If he wants to try something different try Disneyland or a cruise, it's still Disney just a little different:thumbsup2

We actually did go all the way with the surprise thing once. It didn't go as well as we'd hoped, so we won't be doing THAT again :rotfl::rotfl:

I actually did mention Disneyland, because we've never been to CA. We'll have to see. We actually are having a big party next year, so that may put a stop to any trips other than something more local.

Okay, I think I'm officially ready now. I transferred the reward dollars from our Disney Visa over to the rewards card! I almost forgot to do that. I tried a few weeks ago and they wouldn't let me do it, because Karl is the primary card holder. I told him about it and then it promptly slipped my mind. I only remembered today, because I saw the card in my wallet!

I also got some Christmas window clings. When we were there in 2008 for Halloween, Kristina loved that I decorated the mirrors with Halloween ones. I can't do any less for Christmas.

We had parent/teacher conference day on Monday. So I reminded the teacher that we were going to be away. I had originally mentioned it to her on back-to-school night. She completely forgot that we were going! She was okay with it, though, and offered to get some work together before we go, with no rush to turn it in right away when we come back. I have to say, I really like this teacher a lot.

I have been spending way to much time on here. I have a little more Christmas shopping done, but not much. I have to get back on the ball with that. I haven't started wrapping at all. I got everything to get to it, I just have to get TO it LOL.

11 days seems like so long and yet it seems like I'll never be done with everything I need to do by then!

YAY! So glad the reveal went well! We haven't told our kids yet, we just can't seem to decide when will be a good time/way to tell them. :)

Great teacher, btw!

I have been trying to get H & V breakfast since Kristina heard something weeks ago about Agent Oso being there now. She said (not knowing we were going) 'Next time we go to WDW I want to see that. I love Agent Oso.' Well, I hadn't bothered with H & V dinner, because she's getting bigger and I figured she was kind of over Little Einstiens and the crew.

She's not. I've since been trying, to no avail, to get an ADR for H&V on 12/14.

This morning I got one! And I got it for 8:25.

We had no breakfast plans for that morning, because originally when we switched to the deluxe DDP I figured we had 4 extra meal credits and we'd do room service for breakfast. Then I looked at the menu for room service and realized they were charging 2 TS credits for the same breakfast you get at The Wave for 1 TS. So that plan went out the window. I couldn't bring myself to just waste them like that. This meal should zero us out on credits by the end of the trip, if I figured it out right.

I still haven't finished Christmas shopping. I actually never got a chance to get out again. I've had a lot going on. I am going to send out cards this weekend, sans pictures, because I just didn't decide what to do about them lol.

You know what they say about plans? Forget it. The cards aren't out, the gifts aren't wrapped. I'm mostly packed and we did get the tree up and the inside decorated. I have a dr. and a dentist appointment this afternoon. I'm still 'almost' done shopping.

On the bright side, in putting up our Christmas decorations, I did find a little 18" tree that Kristina likes to decorate and play with each year. I got a few things at the dollar store to decorate it with and packed it for the hotel room. ANd we only have 6 days left until we go.

I'm trying not to look at the weather too much, because it doesn't really look as warm as I would have liked. But, I'm sure it's going to be warmer than NY!

I've decided not to stress over the rest of it. It won't kill anyone if I don't get Christmas cards out this year. I am done shopping for our kids, both sets of parents and my grandmother. Anyone else isn't necessarily less important, but would be happy with a nice gift card <G> I'm getting my nieces' gifts while we're on vacation. So, I think I'm actually in pretty good shape. Karl and I aren't getting each other much because ... well... we're going on vacation a week before Christmas. He already asked if I'd like to pick out a gift on vacation. :worship::worship: Love that man! He wanted a cd and a few other little things. All can be done this week or when I get home.

I made copies of my MVMCP tickets. I printed out hard copies of all my reservations; hotel, dining and airline. Hotel and dining mostly just because I'm getting nervous about all these computer upgrades Disney has been doing. They are doing one after we get there and I really don't want to lose ADR's that I've finally gotten where I want them! I'm sure it will all be fine, but better safe than sorry and all that.

I am really, really getting excited now!

Really I am trying not to look at the weather. But I can't help it. And that whole, "It's got to be warmer than NY" thing? I'm thinking that might be a bit optimistic. I went out and bought long johns for Kristina today and I think I'm going to do the same for us tomorrow. I know we'll make the best of it, but the night of our MVMCP it's now calling for rain and the next day all day. And lows at night our first few nights in the 30's, with 'real feel' temps of 32 and below. Ouch!

On the other hand...maybe they are wrong?

I guess this is the last day of 'pre' trip reporting, because by this time tomorrow I'll be on a plane to Orlando!

I got everything done that I wanted to get done. I mailed the Christmas cards yesterday. I have all the gifts I needed except for 2 people, one of whom is Karl. I can do that when I get home. I wrapped all the gifts last night. I am packed, with the exception of chargers, cameras and make-up. That has to be done in the morning after the phones are charged.

I noticed that the weather reports have improved slightly, so :banana:.

It feels weird that I haven't got anything to do today, because I never thought I'd get it all done early. All I am doing today is polishing my nails:rolleyes1:

It feels like Christmas now. I think it really didn't sink in that we were actually going until I looked around at all the wrapped gifts last night and thought about how I'd never been ready for the holidays this early in my LIFE lol.

I was kind of getting nervous because I wasn't feeling the excitement of this trip like I have past ones. It's not that I didn't want to go, it's just that it wasn't really the way we planned it. I'm over all that now.

AND I'M EXCITED!

By tomorrow night, I'll be in DHS looking at a bazillion Christmas lights. If it's cold, then it'll be cold. But we'll be warm, because I packed long johns (and jeans and fleeces, you get the picture)! If we don't need them, awesome. If its cold, we're ready for it.

And I'm going to try to do tweets from this trip, just because I love it when other people do it :)

My last ptr post, probably. My flight was cancelled. I rebooked on a flight 7 hours earlier. Hopefully that one will be a go! Now we should arrive at 8:40 instead of 3:30. Something like that. Wish me luck!

I'm almost ready to start the actual trip report! Now that Christmas is over and I'm going to be snowed in with a blizzard, I will have time to download my pictures.

We had an amazing time, despite the bitter cold the first few days. I have to say, one of the decisions we did make this trip is we'd rather be sweating in July than freezing in December. It's easier to cool off than to warm up once you get a chill in you. Brrr ;)

We tried a few restaurants we've never eaten in and enjoyed them all. We did a few things we hadn't done before and enjoyed that, too.

Not sure if I'll stay at the Contemporary again, unless we got another super great deal. Rooms were nice, but housekeeping was sorely lacking. Location of the garden rooms? Nice walk from the rest of hotel. Distance from MK? We walked it each time. Definitely has pros and cons.

I will try to get photos on here today and get back to it! Hope all my Dec. trip buddies had a great time, too! My first time back on the DIS since I got home. My first time, in a long while, with no ticker.
