Do I pay parking if I stay on site?

If I stay at Pop Century, am I required to pay a resort fee or is there a parking fee?

Is it free parking if I only stay at the hotel or can I drive to the theme parks and would I pay for parking?

I'm trying to compare the cost of on site vs off and it seems that many off site have a fee so wondered if Disney did.

As a Disney resort guest, you will be allowed to park in your resort without a charge and you will be allowed to park at any Disney park without a charge. Parking fees can add up if you are staying offsite. I think the theme park parking fee for cars is now $11.00 per day.

No fee to park at the resort and no fee to park at any of the parks.

Jenn,

The parking fees do add up pretty quickly. Also, a lot of offsite hotels/motels/etc. offer a "free" shuttle bus to the theme parks but their service is horrible. We used to stay offsite and I've heard other guests talk about it taking up to an hour to make it to the theme park. What a waste of time!

Also forgot to add that we have always driven to Disney in our own car but after trying the bus system we realized that it's absolutely wonderful to have an experienced Disney bus driver navigate around "the world". No wondering which lane you need to be in. Is that lady in the red van about to get over? Did you see that idiot pull out in front of me? Etc. Etc. Etc.

Another plus (during our annual June visits) is getting on a nice cool bus instead of a sweltering hot stuffy car that's been sitting out in the sun all day!

I've had it take that long from a Disney resort! One November, we waited for 45 minutes for a bus. This past June, we waited about 25 minutes and still no bus, so we got our car. The same people were still waiting as we drove past the line.

Wow! I guess we've always been lucky. We took the bus from the CBR to all the theme parks and it never took long at all!

if this happens again - or even now - write to Disney and tell them.

my personel opinion - the controllers who the bus drivers have to obey - are a BIG part of this problem.

at AKL last month - saw a bus arrive for Epcot and Studio - no one was waiting for those stops - while we waited and waited for the AK bus to arrive - it took 30 minutes (used my stop watch). In the old days if the bus driver pulled up to the stop and no one was going to his theme parks - he could and would change. (okay doesn't work with multiple stops - so PO, CBR, CSR, OKW, SSR - this won't work) (sometimes this includes, All Stars and Epcot resorts)

WDW doesn't realize that they have problems until you write.

I think you have to pay for parking only if you stay at the Swan/Dolphin.

Just came back from the Swan and there is a partking fee that is charged to your room.

I'm sure that is so, but they are probably required to show this as a line item, since they aren't technically a "Disney" resort.

WDW resort guests are all "paying" for parking and transportation as well. That cost is simply factored into the overall price of the resort stay and not shown as a line item.

But, to directly answer the OP, once you're staying onsite, you don't pay for any other parking anywhere within WDW.

The longest I had to wait this year was heading back to the resort at midmorning from MK. I probably had just missed the bus and had to wait for the next one... Other than that, buses were usually fairly quick in coming.

I'd prefer a nice cool bus at the end of the day :) rather than that hot car that'd been baking all day in the hot Florida sun.... :scared:

That's exactly what I said. I've been there and done that and once I rode on the cool Disney bus, I said I'd never do it again!
