What if I wanted to visit the differnt resorts that WDW has to offer such as the Grand Floridian, Polynisian, Contemporary, or Fort Wilderness Lodge, do need to pay the parking fee? If not, what do I say to the ticket booth person and what do I say to the guard at the resort? Has anyone ever done this? I have been to Disney World 3 other times and will be there again in August but have never visited any of the Disney Resorts but would love to see them on this trip during one of the days that we will not be at the park. We are staying at a Rennisaunce Hotel by DownTown Disney which is not considered a Disney Hotel. Thanks
Michele

I have visited the resorts while staying at another WDW resort. I just tell the gaurd we want to see what the resort looks like and they pass us thru.

Since you are not staying on Disney property you will have to pay for parking in the lots for the parks (unless you have an AP). It is $7.00/day. However, once you pay at one lot you can park for free at any lot that day. Just keep your receipt.

As for the resorts, there is no fee to self park at any resort. However, you will probably only get a 3 hour parking pass since you are not a resort guest. Just tell the guard you want to see the resort. Or, why not have dinner at one of those resorts?

Some advice: for the monorail resorts, just park at the TTC (or at one resort) and take the monorail to each resort. It's easier and probably faster than driving to each resort. As for the Epcot resorts, they are all within walking distance or you can take the boat. If you are in Epcot on the day you intend to check out those resorts just exit at the International Gateway. No need to drive.

Thank you very much. I think that a 3 hour visit would be plenty of time to see what I have been missing all of these years. It might turn out to be one of those "once you see them, you wouldn't want to stay anywhere else". I can only wish!!
Thanks again. Michele
