Although i have not at this point in time made any definate plans about eating, as a solo traveller do i need to make PS reservations. Maybe looking at a lunch somewhere, and an evening meal at one of the resorts. Any suggestions as to which is best for earlyish evening meal appreciated. thanks

To help us to help you :) Where would you like this evening meal to be? on- site, parks, resorts, off-site??

Not sure about PS's for one. I would make them myself :)

Whoops sorry should have been more specific, I am going to do a day resort hopping and was thinking of an early evening meal around 5 ish to round off the day. So any of the actual Disney hotels would be great, was thinking possibly the contempory for Chef Mickeys, but have no experience of eating "onsite".

Chef Mickey's is one of the more popular character meals and often fills all it's PS slots- you'd probably be ok turning up but you may have a long wait before they can squeeze you in (you'd basically be waiting for a no-show). I'd book that one if you consider it a 'must do'. Aside from that, unless you plan to do either of the Princess Breakfasts or the Ice Cream Social, I'd just wing everywhere else to be honest.

I would also say it depends on the time of year. If you are anywhere near any of the US holidays - make a PS! Have never done evening at CHef MIckey, but if it is as good as breakfast you'll be laughing! We've always gone for breakfasts rather than evening meals because of DD, so can't offer any advice on that I'm afraid, but whatever you go for....enjoy!
