Do I need to make ressies...

... for CityWalk or hotel restaurants for Presidents' Day weekend ahead of time?? We may go out a few nights that we're there (and there will be 9 of us in all), and wondered whether we should make ressies ahead of time since that will be a busy weekend. We'll be staying at HRH and thought of trying NBA City, Margaritaville, Mythos and one of the PBH Italian restaurants... There will be 4 adults and 5 kids (ranging in age from 5 to 10). Any advice/recommendations would be much appreciated, as this is our first trip to USF!

I would definately make reservations. You can always cancel them if something changes, but it is better to have them and not need them then need them and not have them, especially with such a busy time of year.

I would recommend a meal at the Kitchen at the HRH. My husband and I had a great dinner there one evening while our son was outside at the pool. We were there 12/21 and gave our name as we got back from the parks. We were told there would be a 35-45 minute wait for a table and given the device that would alert us anywhere in the hotel that our table was ready. By the time we had freshened up and ordered a drink at the Beach Club, our table was waiting for us.

Definitely make ressies. Especially if there is a restaurant that you have to eat at.

... for the responses to my message! I will definitely make ressies at Mythos and the Kitchen. I don't think they're necessary if we went to an early (i.e. pre-6pm) dinner at, say NBA City, Hard Rock or Margaritaville, right?? I know Hard Rock does the whole priority seating thing, but I don't even know if NBA City or Margaritaville offer them.

We were thinking of trying Mama Della's and Confisco's Grill as well, but I think we'll probably be pretty busy that weekend between the Mardi Gras stuff and just being exhausted from days at the parks.

On an unrelated topic, do you guys know which night the dive-in movie is offered at HRH?? I know I saw this info. listed somewhere at one point, but I can't seem to find it...

They should. Check with the host just in case. And if you go before 6p, you'll have a wait less than 30 mins, generally.

I hadn't even noticed that more people had contributed to this thread... I really appreciate all the information!

I tried to make ressies at Mythos, but was transferred to an answering machine when I called this a.m... Weird, eh? Hopefully someone will actually call me back to let me know if I've gotten one!! Based on what I've read, I think I'll also try to get a ressie at the Kitchen, since we'll be staying at HRH. Since we'll most likely attend the dive-in movie on Friday night and the Mardi Gras festivities on Sat. night, I don't know if I'll make ressies those nights. Speaking of the dive-in movie, do you know if the cancel it due to weather?? If, for example, it's only 60 degrees or something, will they still offer it?? Just wondering... I definitely wouldn't want to sit in the pool under those conditions, but my kids might!!
