Do I need to make park reservations?

I HATE the Annual Passholders still need to make those ridiculous park reservations when the dated ticket holders do not  It is so archaic and outdated :scared1:
I find it really annoying when we clearly have a resort stay. Disney knows when we will be there; so there's no reason for us to have to make a reservation especially as we are out of state APs. We aren't just going to pop in randomly.

I agree. I feel like they didn't remember to fix it, someone is suppose to fix it and hasn't or they haven't figured out how to change it back.

At this point, the requirement to make a park reservation is just nonsensical, and frankly, an annoyance to Disney's most loyal customers. We have a 2 week trip coming up. My daughter and I have APs, and the other 6 family members do not. Having to make reservations removes our ability (or at least makes it more difficult) to change plans on the fly. Why do we need a park reservation if we can immediately hop to another park after tapping into the first one? What purpose does it serve?

Sometimes you really have to wonder why Disney does some of the things they do. Please, someone in the know, make this make sense to me.
