Do I need to make park reservations?

I am staying DVC and have an annual pass. I thought they were getting rid of park reservations, but I guess I was wrong. When I try to read about it, I get more confused.

If you want to enter a park before 2pm you must make park reservations. You won't be restricted to AP reservation limits since you have a DVC reservation. You can book a reservation for every eligible resort day.

Yes, you need a park reservation daily for every guest.

Let's throw a wrench in it and make it more confusing. You need a park reservation for every day unless Disney declares it a "good to go" day. Then you don't have to make reservations. Those days will be blanked out on the calendar when you go to book them. You can go to any park you want on those days. For the days you need reservations, you just need to tap into that park and then you can go to another park. You must tap into that park, you can tap in and just turn around a walk right back out and go to another park if you want. Unless you are using Disney transportation, you can't use a Disney bus to park hop (I'm not sure about the boats or monorail) before 10 am. Confused yet?

It's best to lay out your plans as best as you can, and make park reservations every day. If you change plans, you can often change your park reservations in advance. If a Good To Go day pops up (and they often aren't announced until a week or 2 prior), having a park reservation doesn't affect anything - it's just ignored.

It's the best to just go to the park reservation page and then see if you can reserve it or not for the days you want to go and make sure you choose the option with hotel reservation. If not, then you don't need it for that day.

My advice is don't worry about "good to go" days - always make park reservations. Good to go days just confuse the situation and honestly they probably never should have started it. It's rare that parks sell out unless it's a special day like May 4 at DHS - so just make park reservations every day.

I am just back. Like you a DVC member. No park reservation required. We had dated park hopper tickets.
