Do I need to call Disney dining to note that one of my party is a vegetarian?

do I need to call Disney dining to note that one of my party is a vegetarian on every ressie? or is it better to mention it when I arrive at the TS? Or is there always a veggie choice and it is not even an issue worth stating. What do other vegetarian diners do?

Only one member of my party is vegetarian and does eat egg and dairy. Several of the party are steak and meat lovers.

Hi! Not a vegetarian but I did notice alot of nice veg. choices on the menus last year when we went. So it shouldnt be a problem.

I'm a vegetarian, and Disney is a great place for us to eat, especially if eggs and dairy are okay. You really don't have to call ahead for regular TS restaurants. There's something on every menu, or at least something that can be made vegetarian (ie, pasta without the chicken/seafood/etc). And you can mention it to your server if you have any questions or concerns--they're generally more than happy to accomodate you.

Definitely check out the menus at www.allearsnet.com to get an idea what's available at the places you're considering (though keep in mind specific menu items may change), along with their articles on vegetarian dining. That will give you some good direction for the better places for vegetarians.

The only exception I can think of is if you're doing any dinner shows (HDDR, Spirit of Aloha) or family style meals (Ohana, Garden Grill), you probably should note it on your reservation, and then call the restaurant directly several days to a week before your reservation to ensure a decent vegetarian option.
