Just new to all of this. I would like to book our christmas resses for 19-23 at one resort (AKV, VWL) and 23-26 somewhere else (BWV, BCV) perhaps.

Any suggestions on best way to do this? BTW our home resort is SSR. I know I have to book there at the 11 mo. point and then request a change to the resses at 7mos.

Would there be any advantage to one res if this is even possible?

If I understand you question, you are wondering if your back-up stay at SSR should be one reservation or two?

It really shouldn't matter, suppose AKV or VWL isn't available. You'd simply drop the days from your SSR reservation for whichever resort is available, and keep the rest of the reservation for SSR, right?

Now if you're asking if an actual split stay is one reservatio or two...when ever you change room type or resorts they are two separate reservations, and you check-in for each one separately. You can also add the DDP to one or the other or both, each reservation handles the DDP separately.
