Do I need MagicBands for FP+ or do the tickets work the same?

Trying to save a couple bucks by not purchasing the MagicBands but still want to be able to use the FP+ system. Our tickets (which look like credit cards) have a QR codes. So what am missing out on by not using MagicBands?

The tickets work just as well as the bands for FP+. If using a ticket though, you'll need to stop to have your Photopass pictures added whereas they automatically sync to your MDE account with a MB.
