So I booked through the AAA website for our March 11-14 2011 vacation. After reading these boards a little I am confused....not sure if we got AAA rate or not.

Some people are saying the AAA rate is not yet out for March '11. Also how can I tell if I got the stay more rate? does this come out automatically?

SOrry......confused! :confused3

What hotel did you book at and what rate did you get??? That would help to know if you got the AAA rate or not.

You could always call and ask if you got the AAA rate. When I called for May 2011, they weren't out yet. Looking online, they don't look like they have anything for March yet, but maybe :confused3

If you booked one of the onsite hotels:

Go to www.universalorlando.com
Click on HOT DEALS at the top of the screen
Choose your hotel and click on BOOK NOW
Enter your dates.

If the Stay More Save More discount is available, it will say Stay More Save More starting at $_____

The Stay More Save More discount might not be available for all rooms.

For example, at the Royal Pacific Resort, the cheapest room is Standard 2 Queen.
Maybe for your dates the Stay More Save More is sold out for the Standard 2 Queen but is available on the more expensive King Suite.

In that case, it would say:
Seasonal Rate starting at $269 (which would be the Standard 2 Queen)
Underneath that it will say
Stay More Save More starting at $343.40 (which would be the discounted King Suite)

You must be staying for at least 4 nights to get the Stay More Save More.

Sometimes the AAA website shows you the (undiscounted) seasonal rate. So you might have booked through AAA but not gotten a discount.

I believe they only allow a limited number of people to get the AAA rate and the Stay More Save More rate.

I booked the Seasonal Rate, and then checked every morning for weeks to see if the Stay More Save More was available. By playing around with the dates, I figured out that the problem was the Saturday night of my stay. I could get the discount if I checked out on Friday or if I checked in on Sunday. Eventually somebody who had the discount must have cancelled the Saturday night because the website showed that the discount was available for my nights. So I called and they applied the discount for me.

Thanks!

Its all very confusing...but i think i've got it straight :cool1:

Thankyou all for your help

i called and booked for JULY 2011 and was given the AAA rate.

I booked our Aug. trip through Universal and at the time (last Sept) the AAA rates weren't available. I kept checking the AAA site and when they finally come up on their site I just called Universal back and they adjusted my rate. I would just check the AAA site and see what comes up - not sure if AAA as any blackout dates at all.

like i said before I called and they had a AAA rate for JULY but it is not on the AAA website and never was, so you might consider calling just to see?

My Aug. dates did show up on the AAA site and I then called Universal back and they gave me the AAA which was exactly what the AAA site said.
