do I automatically get discount?

Thinking about a trip in December. If we book stuff soon, but Disney later comes out with an offer, like free dining, do we automatically get that offered? Who/can I call someone to edit the reservation to add it?

If you booked yourself, you would have to call reservations and ask to have the discount applied to your reservation, which they should do as long as there are discounted rooms available at the resort you booked. If you used a travel agent, I think they will keep an eye out for discounts for you -- but I always book myself so I'm not positive on that part. Good luck.

That's correct...call CRO if you've booked the ressie yourself and have them add it on. It won't be done automatically. TAs should be on the lookout for discounts, but some aren't as Disney-savvy, so if you're aware of a discount, give your TA a call to make sure they are on top of it so the ressie has the discount applied.

Disney does not automatically modify your reservations to take advantage of any new pins or discounts Which from their point of view makes financial sense ~ why let someone pay less for their vacation if they are already booked at full price Remember, not everyone knows about DIS so there are still many people who do pay full price It is very easy to modify a reservation by calling the regular Disney number

If you have already booked a vacation package & a deal or offer comes out & if you made it yourself. Then call as soon as possible. If that have the same resort, same room type available. Then you can get the discount. They won't discount the package you have already. I tried last year & was unable to get the room I wanted nor the resort under the discount offer. Had to switch to another resort. I know sometimes you get a nice CM who does it anyway to spread a bit of pixie dust but lately they stick by the rules. The resort & type of room under that offer has to be there even if you have it already. just my views only, No flames please just stating what I have found out with dealing with Disney over so many years.
