Do holiday ADRs open tomorrow? (Sept 15)

Tomorrow is the first day I can book for my Dapper Day trip which starts on Nov 14. That's when the holidays begin at Disneyland so I'm hoping I can book the special character meals. But I thought another post that I can't find said holiday booking starts on Sept 25 so I wanted to double check. No reason to get up at 6am if I can't book those!

Thanks!

Many times the special holiday meals aren't available at 60 days. And they aren't usually released at 6am on the day that they begin bookings either.

I didn't see any today but I'll just keep checking. Good to know Goofy's will be on the 25th.

For folks who've done this during previous holiday seasons - how quickly do these reservations typically get snatched up?

For the first time in...ever!...I did not wake up early for the first day of my ADR range. In fact, I forgot all about it! But I'm not too concerned about dining reservations this trip. My sister and I thought it would be nice to just see how it goes for once and if there's somewhere we'd like to dine, we'll try for a walk-up or see if something opens later.

That was my thought. But when I checked...just to see!...what was available this morning at 7, to my surprise there was a Blue Bayou reservation, and being me, I took it :) We do want to go there but we weren't going to stress about it so yay!

I'm glad you got one! There weren't any good times left when I looked at 6:10. I didn't expect them to book up so fast. Must be because of the Holidays starting that weekend. I'm going to try again for tomorrow. All I want there is the creme brulee!

@DizMe and @Pluto468, what do you like at Blue Bayou these days (well, except the creme brulee 😁)? I haven't been very recently. I tried their veggie pasta last time I went and it was pretty meh. Now that I'm eating meat again, I've got way more options to choose from!

I had the Monte Cristo and thought it was excellent. My son ordered the pistachio pasta and that was great, too. Also the brioche rolls!

Well, I generallly go with my sister or daughter, and we nearly always split a Monte Cristo. It usually comes with a green or fruit salad. I think it may also include chips/fries but that's a lot of fried food and we generally try to swap that out (like getting a second helping of salad). The funny thing is that even splitting usually means we end up taking half of it with us, but that probably has something to do with the fact that we also like to order dessert!

Ooo, pistachio pasta sounds good. The one I had had a light pesto type sauce and it wasn't super flavorful, glad to hear the pasta choice has improved!

Sounds like I need to get a Monte Cristo! I have always been a bit hesitant because of the powdered sugar, but I'm sure it works with the whole sandwich in a sweet and salty way. That's a good idea to swap chips for more salad!

Someone can start a new thread if they want.

i personally do not like the Monte Cristo sandwich there...it was too deep fried and small for the price. I prefer the ones they make locally above it...and the price is much better too! Just my opinion! :stitch2:

Thanks for posting! Now I can stop checking the website 12 times a day :)

I never saw a single TS's reserveration open when I checked my dates this week (Nov 15-19). Not any day or time, which surprised me. I checked early since I was up anyway (4 am) the last couple of days. It's ok, as we can just do a walk-up, but it seemed odd. I checked at odd times during the night but never saw anything.
