do DVC members still get to purchase DDP?

Yes.

And that depends on how you are going to use it. DDP will be better for some and TIW will be better for some. I will never get DDP again but I do use TIW.

can you please elaborate what the pros/cons are for TIW? I am aware of the DDP and the DxDP. We would first use our DVC for a 10night stay with my DW and DD (9). I was thinking do the DxDP one last time while she is 9. Then try TIW when she turns 10.
 
With the TIW card, you get 20% off food & drinks at sit down restaurants plus a few counter service restaurants. That includes appetizers and alcohol beverages. The top is automatically added to the check. There are some block out dates around holidays.

We are two adults who are not fans of QS and enjoy drinks so we save a lot more than we pay for the card. I've done cost comparisons of what we paid to the cost of the plan and we come out way ahead.
