Do you think that Disney employees (the ones who have decision making power) ever read this board?

I really hope so. People have such good suggestions on how the parks/resorts/restaurants could be better on these boards. :)

Yes they do. Several of them post here, too. :)

I'm a former CM and I am friends with several current CM's and yes they take a look at the site. Often they find it funny to read all the things the guest are willing to go through for a WDW vacation. The also understand that when guest are on property they need to put on a great show. Most CM's really care about the magic and want you to have a great vacation.

Notice the OP qualified her statement with * the ones with decision making power*.
I know there are many wonderful CM's and their relatives that are on here, but the ones with the POWER to really do anything???? I doubt it, although DH and I have often wondered if Disney Corporation has someone who's only job is to cruise the Disney boards like this one and see "what is going on" and take notes etc...

Oooh!! If they don't, I'd certainly be willing to apply for the job!! :teeth: Oh, to be paid to surf the DisBoards all day...and get CM discounts...what a dream!!

Some Disney employees have also gotten in trouble for posting on the DIS. CM's have to be careful when quoting Disney policy or being rude or argumentative.

I am a mystery shopper and I would be shocked if Disney did not troll the web, and especially this site, for its very useful information. Granted it is slightly skewed as people who post here are usually very pro but still much useful input could be garnered and put to use from here and for FREE!!

BTW, if they ever DO offer a job where I could be paid for reading the boards AND get Disney discounts as well count me in!! :teeth:

Wouldn't that be a dream job!? It sounds ideal. And, of course your office should be right on property so you can do firsthand research on all of the issues that are posted. :thumbsup2 I want that job.

Actually, another board I post on was talking about this and someone had a link to the disney jobs site where they were looking for someone to more or less do that :thumbsup2 . It seemed like a pretty fun, interesting job. Especially for people like some of us *cough* lol!

Well, if one of them CM's who has "decision making power" happens to read this little message, shoot me a PM sometime, I'm chock full of ideas. :thumbsup2

Yes, they do read and post here.

 I want that job!!!!!!!!!

I've heard about many CMs having to be very careful when posting on websites....I've even heard stories about CMs being fired for what they said on a website. So yes, I am quite sure they read the board...especially being as large as it is.

I understand that Disney monitors this board. CMs do post here from time to time also.

On the 2004 10-night cruise Captain Thord told one of us DISers that they are very familiar with the DIS (she was wearing our DIS 10-night cruise shirt), but the CMs are not allowed to post. I'm guessing he was talking about a DCL policy, or a wishful-thinking policy :teeth:

I read this and other DIS boards most every day and post often. While I'm not in a position to change policies at Disney I can when I'm working in my position as Super Greeter, and often do, make a difference for individual guests having a problem with something while at Epcot.

Please let Guest Relations know if something has happened to you that hasn't been resolved at any of the parks. While we love to get compliments we also want to know when and why guests are unhappy.

Best wishes.

when i joined dvc i was talking to ms and saying how i got a lot of great info on these boards and she said that they read these boards and go over "hot topics" at meetings.

Can't tell you how many times I've run into CMs in WDW who mention my lime green ribbons...they even know some of us by name, although haven't met us yet. Seems that some of us are well-known among the CMs at WDW. Don't think I would want to fall into that catagory!
