Do Brazilian tour groups stay in Disney resorts?

BRAZIL?! THE SAME THING HAPPENS WITH AMERICANS IN EUROPE!!!

First everyone here is complaining about “teenagers” or “foreigners” in this case from Brazil – the point I would like to make is that in this case it is teenagers from Brazil but the same thing is done by teenagers from Oklahoma, Florida or California.....I guess the first issue is that when there is a group of 5 teenagers from Kentucky and 1 or 2 friends cut the line - it is not such a big deal.

When you have a group of 50 and 10 more cut the line - it really makes an impact. Not really sure how to handle this when it is "teenager" behavior - not sure why Brazil is being singled out other than U.S. center of the universe thinking....

Also it seems that the problems seems to be more prevalent at the more moderate resorts and more acute in particular times of the year – like July. So knowing that either stay off property or at a different resort or go a different time of the year…stop crying!

Disney does not “belong” to people from Iowa, Florida or Colorado and people from all over the world come and yes teenagers from all over the world come (as well as local teens from the U.S.) and they are ALL loud, make a mess and generally are disruptive. Again the issue is that it is easy to refer to them as one large group because they visually (T-Shirts) all look the same. If 25 people walked up to the fast pass at the same time you wouldn’t notice anything – but 25 people all wearing yellow t-shirts it looks a lot worse. The fast pass system stops giving out passes once a finite number has been reached…so they are not getting any special treatment.

When I have travelled to Europe – Paris, Rome, Barcelona – busses of AMERICANS pull up and tie up the line to get into the Eiffel Tower or all of a sudden a group of fat poorly dressed people with sneakers show up to Moulin Rouge when the ticket strictly says semi-formal attire….and I am EMBARASSED to be an American….

So…..it happens everywhere. Disney AND the Louvre….any I have had plenty of experiences myself like having a bunch of people with Cowboy hats cut me in line when I was waiting to get into the London Eye…..happens everywhere that large groups of “foreigners” travel.

Heck – I have been walking down the street in New York and a pack of teenagers from “somewhere, USA” barrel down a not so broad New York City street making it impossible to walk down the sidewalk or worse they cross the street locking arms and two go to cross and three stay behind and they ALL end up in the middle of the street where a taxi almost hits them….

(SIGH) So…..I just think this is something that happens when large groups travel anywhere. All we can do is try to speak to our own kids to make sure they don’t do it, behave well and clean up after themselves.

As I stated in the beginning – go at a different time, stay at a different resort or as I do – stay out of Times Square just before Broadway shows start at 8PM because it is packed full of teenagers/tourists stopping and taking pictures in front of me, making a mess and getting in everyone’s way….roll with it….tourists happen….:)

I'm from Iowa and not crying. Your post is just going to stir up trouble by being so rude popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Ultimately.. Brazilian tour groups are a fact at Disney World at certain times of the year.

It would be great if we could discuss the when and where without everyone getting the blood angried up... serves no purpose.

February/March, July and December are prime time for these groups. As one would expect with large groups of teenagers (native or foreign) away from significant meaningful adult supervision in faraway place, the behavior is sometimes appalling. (* See Pop Warner Football )

These large groups are difficult to avoid, can wreck even the most carefully laid touring plans and since they don't speak English very well, they're difficult to communicate with.

It's just about the Perfect Storm of vacation nightmares.

Unfortunately, because they all use different tour companies and they advertise on an almost infinite number of websites, mostly in Portuguese (literally), it's almost impossible to know for absolute sure if you're traveling at the same time.

We're done on this one.
