Do boys have a similar book?

I just read a thread that mentioned "the care and keeping of you" for girls. Do boys have something similar? I think DS might be ready for a book.

Yes, there was a book that I bought for my son.

It was called "The What's Happening to my Body Book For Boys" by Lynda Madaras.

There is also a book by the same name except for girls.

DD has read the one for girls. It was very good. Look into it for him. If it is as good as the girl's one was, it should be great!

BTW, I saw Kevin Lehman on the "Early Show" today and he was discussing his new book, The Chicken's Guide to Talking Turkey.
Talking to your kids about sex was the topic this a.m.
There website might have more.

Anyway, he surprised me when he said father's should discuss with DDs and mom's with sons. I don't think he means the same sex shouldn't discuss but I am sure it would make a big imact on the opposite sex speaking.

Thanks for the info! I am going to have to see the book about talking about sex. my parents NEVER talked to me, and even now as an adult with 2 children, that topic isn't really discussed so I am a little nervous about going about it. That is something I will tackle this summer though.

What was the reason they gave about dad's talking to DD's and mom's talking to DS's?

I believe (I didn't hear the whole conversation) that he was talking about fathers teaching dds about the respect that boys should give women etc. and mom's the same type of thing. Both DH and I have had discussions with dd. She asked him the biggie question that I was sorta dreading. She then shared with me the conversation they had. LOL I would have never talked about such with my mom. I feel good about the openess we all have about it though!
