Do any of you use Sharebuilder.com?

If so, can you give me the lowdown on it, please? I know NOTHING about investing, so is this a good way to give it a try? TIA

My Dh uses it. He has never had any problems buying or selling. If you have any specific questions let me know and I will ask him.

I use it for my Roth IRA. It was pretty simple to set up and I don't have any problems with it (Ok, I wish my fund would go up more, but that's not Sharebuilder's fault!).

Also, check MyPoints- for a while they were giving points if you signed up with Sharebuilder, nice way to get a little extra if you get an account.

My friends and I just started using it a few months ago and it seems pretty stright forward. I have never had any problems and the automatic investing is pretty straight forward. ask more questions if you have specifics im sure someone can answer.

I've used it for 1 1/2 years now and it is very easy. You can do everything online and check your gains/losses. If you are just planning to make investments in the stock market then you really have to do a lot of research in picking your stocks. I look at sites like Marketwatch to get a lot of info and then I enter my orders through Sharebuilder. I was doing pretty well until all this business with interest rates made everything drop.

I was actually very hesitant myself not too long ago and posted the identical quesiton. People here respsonded with very positive comments, that and a close friend of my DBF's family highly recommended it. So I finally bit the bullet. I have the plan where you don't pay unless you trade (the basic one I believe) and I bought some Disney stock to start me up. Which so far I have lost about $4 on, which stinks but I'm in it for the long haul.

I joined Sharebuilder for my daughter, 4 about 2 weeks ago- She has Exxon, GE, Google, Bank of America, Coca Cola and my Son, 2 starts his on Nov 1st he'll have Exxon, Google, Harley Davidson, Johnson and Johnson, and Merck....all companies that have proven to make money over many years- "top 100 companies". I invested $50 each per child and got a Promo code for $50 free through Entertainment book, new accounts only- wish I had the promo code before opening my daughters...oh well.... Anyone wanting the Promo code can PM me. Anyhow, in the short amount of time- there stocks are doing well. My daughter has alreagy made almost $3 in 2 weeks .....I will try to add $50/month for them....we'll see....
