We are doing our first WDW trip in Jan. and renting a car before hand to go to Kennedy Space Center. We won't need the car once at WDW, so want to return it the day we arrive. DH is a Hertz Gold member, so hoping to save money using Hertz, but they don't appear to have good return options on site. Looks like we have to return at Waldorf Astoria, Caribe Royal, or Courtyard Marriott. Do any of these offer shuttles back to DTD or the parks? We won't be staying at any of them - staying at AoA. Or will we need to get a cab back? Thanks! The sticky at the top of the forum doesn't seem to have any information about Hertz except where it used to be, but hopefully someone knows!

You could always return it to MCO, then take DME to AoA. You don't have to be flying into MCO in order to use DME. If you wanted to, you could drive to AoA first, drop your bags off, get checked in. Then head to MCO, return the car and take DME back to AoA.
Or, just take a cab from Caribe Royale. Faster, but more costly.

This is what I would do (return to MCO and use DME) in this situation. I don't think I would drive from KSC to AoA to drop off bags and then back to MCO though- that's a lot of back & forth driving that would eat up quite a bit of my vacation time.

Just check the schedule for arriving flights at MCO and choose one that arrives close to the date/time you want to use DME, and give them that flight info.
