I love my 2 message boards, the DIS and CC! CC stands for cruise critic. Anybody else obsessed with the 2 message boards?

I did a detailed, pictures heavy review of our family Mediterranean cruise. I posted it on CC, you can see it here if you are interested:

Do people on the DIS cruising board ever do trip reports like the one I did?

Just wondering so I know in the future for a Disney cruise :)

There's a few of us on both boards.

I am on both boards but have yet to do a review. Need to get one done from my Feb. Dream Cruise!

Cruise critic is great for stateroom reviews and ship plans. But the Disney details nut-jobs (I mean fanatics) are on the DIS. ;-)

I see they have an app so I have just downloaded that and will check it out. Thanks for the tip.

WOW! Um, I just spent 3 hours reading your wonderful trip report. It was so wonderful! I loved all the pictures and the you tube videos... awesome! I think this may sell my husband on this cruise.

And I was so excited for finally seeing the proposal!!! How romantic! Best of luck to you and your fiance.

I have been on CC since at least 1999. It has a wealth of info, although the DCL section is slim because the fanatics are all here. It is a very helpful site if you want to learn about things to do in the ports and millions if people sail other lines too.

Yes, there is a trip report section here too. It is under DCL Forum/Trip Reports. Some are short and some are very detailed and I have enjoyed every one I have read.

Thank you everyone for the good info! I know to come here if I need to know the Disney details :) I love both boards but for some reason I never checked out the cruise section here, until now :)

I cannot wait for my first Disney cruise!!!!

Wow, thank you so much!! I had a a lot of fun writing it. I hope you and your husband go on a med. cruise! We still talk about it just about every day :goodvibes There is nothing like it!!

CC is the best place to get info on Ports of Call and excursions. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a cruise.

After being on Disboards I found CC lacking in the deep details. After being on here for a few months I was incredibly prepared for our first Disney cruise. I've tried to obtain similar detailed nitty gritty info on CC about certain ships or details about other lines and pretty much can never either get enough responses or answers at the level of detail in used to.

Eta: people say go to CC to learn about other lines but it's not ever been helpful to me. I think that's why so many people post about other lines here. People on he DIS really know how to give you the details that you need! :)

I laughed so hard on cc! A guy complained that he'd spent $12500 for two people and that the ship was noisy and didn't have black napkins to match his suit! Not too sure why he chose Disney if he wanted a formal ship that was quiet.

I agree - if you want quiet why would you select Disney - even though there are some nice quiet areas for adults. On the Fantasy at Palo for brunch, they changed out our white napkins for black when they saw that both of us were wearing black pants.

I do both. This one for DCL and CC for other cruise lines. I check periodically when I don't have a cruise booked, and much more active when I do have a cruise booked.

I spend a lot of time at Cruise Critic. Their Disney board is slow moving compared to the DIS, but I have gotten a lot of useful information about other cruise lines. Their ports of call boards are excellent, and I usually post on the roll call threads for my upcoming cruises.

ETA: I don't need the kind of nitty gritty details about other ships that people on the DIS seem to want about Disney ships!

I will say, the snarky level over there can be extreme. I asked on the HAL board about embarkation day - if you pick a time like Disney or just show up and get in line. Some were nice, but then there was the "The post open at 1, but everyone 'knows' that you can show up at 11."

Clearly I didn't "know" that or I wouldn't have asked.

i have enough trouble keeping up with the DIS boards, can't imagine having two to read. there would go my life. :rotfl2:
