Do all Villa guests have to check in at front desk?

We've all got our Magic Bands with our park passes, fast passes and dining reservations preloaded. I know the lead guest of the room has to present to front desk but do the rest of us? We're arriving at different times and assume we can go right to the room...but can we?

Any adult on the reservation can check in. Not the lead guest. Any adult on the reservation.

If someone gets the room ready text/email, then head straight to the room. If that isn't received then at some point someone will have to go to the front desk.

Thank you for clarifying. So after any one of us check in, there is no need for any others to go to front desk (assuming the check in text is received and no one wants to put a credit card on file)?

If you check in online nobody needs to go the the front desk. If the system works correctly you will get a text telling you when your room is ready and what the room number is.

So helpful! I may be pushing my luck but I have one more question....can more than one person in the room have a credit card on file for charging privileges?

You can have different credit cards tied to different Magic Bands in the same room. Confirmed by https://disneyparksmomspanel.disney...nt-credit-cards-different-magic-bands-292447/.

You'll need to go to the Front Desk to set it up.

We did this our last trip, worked fine - but did involve a rather lengthy visit to the front desk. In retrospect, since we were using the TIW card in my name - and then I let them know a few weeks after the trip when I got around to looking at all the receipts (which I kept and noted who had gotten what) what they owed me anyway - that I would have just had them carry a credit card for their souvenir and fast food purchases. (It took about 20 minutes once we had the attention of the desk CM).

just a heads up - last week we checked in online and at the front desk. Never got a text but when I kept refreshing the app - a room number showed up at 4:15pm or so

You didn’t say where you’re staying. I’m pretty sure at Animal Kingdom someone actually has to physically check in so they can tell you not to feed the animals or put things on your balcony. At THV and BLT we’ve had online checkin and text notification work so we just go straight to the room—which is particularly nice at THV since it is disconnected from SSR so checkin is a little bit of a pain.
