We are seriously thinking about buying into DVC ~ and will be at the AKL in May. We would like to visit each of the DVC resorts to check them out. Do all the resorts have room models that we can visit? Do we need to schedule anything? Thanks so much!

Erin (hopeful future DVC owner!!!)

You can visit each one, but I don't think there are models open at each one. The sales office is at Saratoga Springs Resort near Downtown Disney. The floor plans are almost the same, the decor in each resort is different. You could check the Disney Vacation Club website to see pictures.

The only public DVC tour is offered at the sales center at SSR. The other DVC resorts are usually happy to allow you to see a villa if they have one vacant and clean. You can go to the front desk at any of the resorts and ask to see a villa. I'd suggest going around 1PM to have the best opportunity to visit a recently cleaned, unoccupied room.

The tour at SSR may be arranged at any of the DVC kiosks in the Theme Parks, DD and at all WDW resorts. That tour offers a tour of the SSR models and a virtual tour of the other resorts.

Enjoy!

Four of the five on-site DVC resorts have similar floor plans but different decors. OKW is the only one with a different floor plan. The units there are larger and more like a townhouse. You should be able to get a good idea from the Disney web site.

Don't be afraid of taking the tour at SSR. DVC is the lowest pressure presentation. As a previous poster stated, all the floor plans are the same, except OKW. In addition. only SSR, BWV, and OKW have the 3-bedroom villas. Suggest that you visit each resort to check location. BWV and BCV are just a short walk into EPCOT.

We bought into OKW in 1995, and have had so many wonderful vacations with family and friends. You'll never regret buying at DVC, but look into the whole concept of TS ownership.

We went to OKW (or whichever resort) and ask nicely at the desk that you are looking at becoming a DVC member and you would like to see a studio or 1 BDR or whatever.

After the nice CM brings you on their little golf cart to see the rooms, shake thier hands, tell them thank you, and slip them a least a 5 spot for being so nice :)
