Hi,
I know this question is silly but.....
My co-worker returned yesterday from a 2BR unit at OKW....
She swears the sofa did NOT pull out...."I took the whole sofa apart....
there was no bed"

Not the sharpest tool in the shed usually.....Is this possible?
Thanks

All one bedroom and larger units at OKW should have a pull out sofa sleeper. There is also a smaller "love seat" that does not have a sleeper.

The "new" sofa sleeper design is quite different from the style most folks are familiar with, and she simply may not have known how to operate it.

My guess is she was either trying to pull out the love seat or couldn't figure out how to operate the new style pull out. They are VERY comfortable, and not at all like the old "bar in the back" style. I agree...probably not the sharpest tool in the shed trying to operate it.

thanks.....

I kinda of figured that.....she dosen't believe me:lmao:

I told her lets make a bet....we'll call OKW and ask them....
I'll take her money:lmao: :rotfl2:

She said she called for a cot...they said they couldn't 3rd floor....
"Why would they not tell me when I asked for a cot"...I said maybe they
thought someone didn't want to sleep together:rolleyes:

The 'old' style that most people are familiar with goes like this:

Remove the cushions.
Grab the metal bar
Lift and pull up and out
Unfold the bottom portion

The 'new' style goes like this:

Cushions may or may not be removable (There's two types being used by DVC)
At the top of the sofa (where a person's neck would be), look for a strap.
Grap strap, pull toward you. This opens the bed.

The other 'new' type doesn't have the strap up by the neck, but the whole bottom 'seat' area pulls out.

Not sure which type is at OKW.

tell her next time to call housekeeping or maintence.

just tell them she can't get the sofa bed to work.

Once at BCV I couldn't close the thing - had to call housekeeping - seems I started it all wrong.:upsidedow

When we stayed at the BCV last summer, there were instructions on the corner table to open the sleeper sofa. Since you don't remove the cushions, it can seem tricky at first.

You pull the back forward and it just starts opening from there.

The OKW ones have removeable cushions and the bottom pulls out. It is a bit tricky the first time you do it, because the action is quite different from what we all expect with the old bar type.

I took these pictures at SSR several months ago. I think the OKW sofas are similar.
