Do ADRs block rolling FP+s?

I searched and was unable to find the answer to this question (perhaps because I’m not very good at searching) but last Dec. we noticed that I seemed to be blocked from getting a rolling FP+ for a couple of hours after our ADR time whereas other party members could get them. My name was the only one on the ADR, so we figured perhaps that ADR was blocking me from getting rolling FP+s.
I didn’t think Disney’s IT was that sophisticated, has anyone else had this happen, or was it just a coincidence that happened several times?

I don't think I've ever seen that. Usually I would get a reminder about the time of an ADR when booking a FP but it's never not let me book one because of it.

I get reminders that I have something at that time but have never been blocked.

Nope, you'll get a warning that the times overlap or are close, but it won't prevent you from booking the FPs.
