My DD is 4.5 months old... The past couple days she's been sticking her tongue out... Then, DBF was doing it to her yesterday and she started doing it too.. He said he'll do that to her to get her to giggle...now she's copying him.
At first, I thought it was just coincidence, she's just found her tongue..
But, this morning, they did it again... Guess I'm just surprised if she has actually grasped that to mimic...

Either way...it is kinda cute :cutie:

Yes, they do. Two of my babies did it. It's the cutest thing in the world.:lovestruc

I remember that my dd would mimic sounds at 5 months old. It was so cute, she'd do the ma-ma sound and da-da sound for us which thrilled both of us and just about any one sylable sound. She'd also stick out her tongue if you did it and she'd try so hard to click her tongue when we would. That one took her a little longer to master.
Of course it took several more months before she actually learned to say words but the mimicing came early.

Actually if you're patient you can get a newborn to mimic sticking out the tongue.

Yup, DD has been mimicing for weeks now, she's only 2 months old. She does the tongue, making "O" shapes with our mouths and also when we do "oooooooo" at her and make big eyes she'll "repeat" it back to us. SO CUTE!

Oh yeah!! The twinnies are about 5 and a half months old, and they do that all the time! Its wicked cute!!
